The beast also has very sharp claws that can cut through trees with ease.

They are fighting them in a quest to save the six beasts that they fought in the very start and they are getting prizes throughout the quest and then the beasts will be sent back home to avantia.

this book is about the boy and the girl and their companions fighting velmal to find his mother from velmal's possession.  he has to fight the beast that's underwater but he got a prize in the bottom of the tree and there was on of hi mothers pearls that allowed him to breathe underwater to fight krabb. They had to catch a lot of fish to lure in krabb but then when they pulled it was a shark but then the shark attracted krabb.
 When Tom dropped his pearl he slashed krabb's claw then poison leaked out and krabb put the pearl back into tom's hand. Then krabb saved tom with its uninjured claw. Tom had a injured arm with poison in his palm and they are finding a way to heal it.
