The existing power available does not allow for installing individual outlets at every car park thus there needs to be an additional four 22 kilowatt chargers installed perhaps in the visitor parking zone - this would not only allow residents to access these additional chargers but also provide power to visitors. These are not cheap but nothing is . Users will need as they do now an account with ChargeFox to allow access to charging. From what I can gather, there are some 240 apartments mainly with car parks in the complex, of which 20 are EV. https://padlet.com/mrphillips1105/4fzq9j3g1922h6ng/wish/2232087424 Surely just common sense alone would suggest it is inappropriate to commit sizeable Common Property funds that benefit the EV movement, given the large differential in car type numbers and despite increasing usage of EV.

A premium apartment complex would provide charging facilities. We believe this will be an expectation in the not too distant future and are surprised that the circuitry does not allow installation of charging stations in private car parks. This is a major oversight by the developers. A few more chargers in visitor parking will not cut it. If we upgrade the wiring so that individuals can install their own chargers in their parking space, this would also be more equitable as those without EVs will not be paying for charging stations. The potential for charger installation will however protect the value of everyone’s property.

Other unit holders have the added security of having access only from the lifts.
