Pintrest allowed me to find creative visual tools to stimulate the creative part of my brain which helped inspire the decoration of my new room last month.

1.       Users should be able to remove photos the have posted or that have been posted of them and the information these photos provide should be deleted and not used for any further advertising information.
2.       Users should be able to see who has viewed their account and how many times. When a targeted ad shows up on their feed the user should be informed via a different colour outline that their personal information was used to target this ad.
3.       Instagram should employ more agents who are available to help youth remove their information/ unwanted photos from the media sight quickly.
4.       Instagram should have a kid’s mode on their app that informs them every 30 minutes they have spent using the app in a 24-hour period.
5.       Instagram should have mandatory introduction videos (similar to non-skippable YouTube ads) that inform users what happens to a photo or message when it is posted and what information is used by Instagram.

I also wanted to emphasize the empowerment of the users to be able to remove photos of themselves from the Instagram and not just from their profile but the information being removed from Instagram’s database altogether. Currently Instagram does not have enough resources available to their users to make removing unwanted photographs or messages an easy task. This has to change as it is a huge stress for somebody who might be in a situation where they are being bullied because of a photo and need it removed.
