For this activity, you will imagine yourself in the shoes of one of your family members who has an interesting job. Choose a family member, such as your mom, dad, uncle, or aunt, and think about what their typical workday looks like. You will write your post using the first person "I", as if you are your family member experiencing their day. Be sure to use both the simple present tense (for regular activities) and the present continuous tense (for what they are doing right now).

Title: A Day in My Shoes as a Nurse

Post:
Hi, I’m a nurse, and I want to tell you about a typical day in my life. I wake up at 5:30 AM every morning because my shift starts early. After I get dressed, I grab my nurse bag, which has all my tools—like my stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, and thermometer. I drink a quick cup of coffee, and then I leave for the hospital.

When I get to the hospital, I check in with the nursing station and look over my patient list for the day. I go to each patient’s room and make sure they’re comfortable, take their vitals, and administer any medications. I often speak with doctors about treatment plans and make sure everything is in order.

At this moment, I am in the emergency room. I am helping a patient who has just arrived with a broken leg. I am making sure they’re calm and taking care of their wounds.

Being a nurse is sometimes challenging, but I love knowing I am helping people feel better. It can be exhausting, but I am proud of the work I do. Every day is different, and that makes it exciting.
