So far, this semester has taught me a lot about various subjects that relate to the business world. But we have not really even talked about entrepreneurship specifically, rather all the small parts and skills that can be used in the field. We have also learned a lot about the way that our brains work, which I can't say I really expected, unless it was going to be about why people buy the products that they do.

Creativity

The first subject we covered in class was creativity. Of course we use creativity in almost every single class, but we first studied how other companies have implemented creativity, and also did partner creativity activities in and out of class. Creativity is a key component in the business world and everyday life. If a business, or an entrepreneur, does not implement creativity into their work, they will not go anywhere and will be stuck with unoriginal ideas.

Second Machine Age

The second concept we went into was technology and The Second Machine Age. I found it very interesting how fast we have developed technology just over the past 20 years, and how technology and the power of our devices will keep upgrading exponentially throughout time. This concept connects with entrepreneurship because entrepreneurs will have to keep finding ways to put this technology to use within their products, to stay ahead of competition.

Tribes

The next concept we went into was Tribes, and how important it is for us was human beings to connect with each other and work together. The topic of Tribes also ties into leadership, and how we all can be leaders in a group, there doesn't just have to be one or just a few. In a business, it is very important to work together and compromise as a team or a tribe, and to recognize that everyone has mostly the same goals.

Start With Why

Start With Why really opened my eyes about how people perceive ideas in the business world. Simon Sinek knows what what he's talking about, and I learned that the reason someone makes a product will attract a costumer far more than just a flashy idea. Bonding over ideals and desires helps people connect. If an entrepreneur can do this with a customer, or investor, they already have them hooked.
