There is always going to be cons to everything, like how scientists are trying to make a fusion reactor produce energy but there are challenges due to figuring out how to control the reaction in a contained space. These struggles and challenges will eventually be overcome and we will keep figuring out how to produce power more efficiently even though its very efficient. However Nuclear plants can blow up and they have a history of accidents like chernobyl and fukushima, the plants cost a lot of money to build because there's a lot to build.
