Since 1960, many aspects of American history remain a continuation of post-war development. In addition to the cyclical downturn, the economy is still expanding; the population moving from cities to the suburbs continues to increase. In 60s, the Democratic Party Kennedy and Johnson came into power one after another, implementing a long-term fiscal deficit policy, expanding military spending and increasing welfare costs, and the economy continued to rise. At the same time, because they were involved in the Vietnam War, paid a huge amount of military expenses, consumed a lot of wealth in the United States, weakened the economic strength of the United States, and the economy of the Federal Republic of Germany and Japan developed rapidly and gradually became the rival of the United States.
