The egg remains in the area up until an apathetic child comes across it and brings it home. The kid is shocked to see it hatch into a baby dragon. The initial novelty of being in the presence of a mythical creature very quickly wears off as it begins to wreak havoc within the house. The kid tries to find ways to send it away and get rid of it, but the baby dragon keeps coming back. So she reluctantly adopts it and attempts to keep it a secret from everyone she knows. Especially her parents.

She asks her best friend for advice in a nonchalant manner, and he gives a plethora of information that she painstakingly notes down for future reference. There’s a montage of her trying to tame the baby dragon and keep it from causing any more trouble, but to no avail. She’s left to pick up the pieces, clean up as much as she can, and take responsibility for the mess. The kid plops back on her bed, absolutely exhausted while the baby dragon flits about near the ceiling. A loud unfamiliar noise reverberates through the town, and both the baby dragon and the kid are momentarily startled by it before going back to flying and moping around respectively. After a pause, we suddenly see that the Mother Dragon’s jaws have been clamped shut after she had sent out a distress call. The silhouette of a huge figure looms over the walls in a menacing fashion; the intimidating shadow then covers the entire Mother Dragon, and it cuts to black.

So they set to work, cleaning up the warehouse with an inspiring timelapse to insert genre of music here. Afterwards, they take a break and reflect on how far they’ve come since they started raising Pang together. They contemplate expanding their sustainability project and whether they’re ready to do so or not. A sequence showcasing their dreams with Pang in a successfully rewilded environment plays out.

Kokebe is searching for resources to use for the warehouse shelter when she stumbles upon some alarming documents in her Mother’s possession. She was supposed to take advantage of her Mother’s influence as one of the town Councilors, but instead discovered that her Mother is a B.I.G. O.I.L. associate. She realizes Pang is in danger and that the neighborhood project is in jeopardy with a dramatic Dolly Zoom. As a result, Kokebe understandably crashes out and rushes over to her late Father’s old bedroom to process this shocking revelation. The episode ends with the camera slowly zooming into a family photo on her Father’s desk, but the framing reflects Kokebe crying in place of her younger, happier self as a cinematic frame within a frame.
