         <description><![CDATA[<div>1) The control group in the experiment was the group of mice that were not exposed to the microwave.<br>2) The independent variable in this situation are the seconds on the microwave timer.<br>3) The dependent in this situation is how strong the mice are after the experiment.<br>4) Bart's conclusion should be that mice exposed to microwaves have the same amount of strength as regular mice.<br>5) Bart's experiment could be improved by, instead of placing the mice in for 10 seconds, he could place them in for 20 or 30 seconds. He could add more mice as well, or replace the large block of wood with something heavier.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Homer's initial observation is the green slime inside the shower.<br>The control group is the side of the shower with water that will show that the coconut juice will work.<br>The independent variable is the time that Homer allows the coconut juice to sit. <br>The dependent variable is the effect the coconut juice has on the green slime.<br>His conclusion from the coconut juice and waters attempt to remove the slime fails as the coconut juice neither water has had any effect on the slime. Barney's data is insufficient after the conclusion of Homer's experiment.</div>]]></description>
