Computer Science instruction is given since 5th grade in public schools at primary level. In computer science lessons, in 5th and 6th grade, general information about hardware, software, esafety, viruses are given. Then usage of office programs are being taught. In 6th grade beside these subjects, we teach students algorithm and use some tools like Scratch and Flowchart Pro. These tools help children code without any knowledge about programming language.

I will tell my students: Everyday we use them, when we are switching a TV channel remotely, when we are using digital watches, washing machines... vs. Every machine has a working principle but all af the electronic devices are being programmed. If you can understand programming, you can understand how they work and you will start programming.. At last maybe you can design a game... You will play your game.

We used Scratch tool for programming and we used account and shared the works on Internet.

The projets were very simple I'm teaching introduction to programming the students learn key concepts.

We can make a collaborative projects such as programming a game then give tasks to the students which they can make collaborately. I think project management tools will be useful for it.

I think right. It is a problem in most of the countries. Girls are seen to be unsuccessful in these subjects. But in teaching earlier programming subjects, key themes we don't focus oon a programming language, when i use some programming tools, I observed in my class that girls are successful and engaged with the lesson. Gender couldn't be a subject about learning. We just need to motivate them; ut it is the same for boys too. In order to motivate students, e can show people who are successful in programming and tell them their study.

It may be benefical for students to solve a problem by dividing it to managable parts. Student could work as a team in every discipline. It will enhance their crevativity. In addition robot projects will stimulate motivation. It will help with linguistic competences. It helps with foreign languages, mathematical competence. Students will have to think like computers so it will help with creating algorithms. They will also search from Internet to solve the problems.

I have no experience about using robots in classroom.

We used Scratch for programming lessons. This course gave me great ideas. We will use Lego WeDo together with scratch programming We also can use Lego Mindstorms.

In my lessons I gave examples like moving a robot to the canteen from the classroom with commands: turn right, turn left, move 10 steps, go upstairs, go downstairs but we did it in classroom by role playing.

I wonder where can we get these materials, in the video named computationally-enhanced materials...

In addition i like Lego Education presentation. And the materails i captured.

Have you designed a website with your students? Have you explored how a Google search works? What other tools and resources are out there that we could use to address these topics?

Teaching Internet search: we used several web-sites such as: google scholar, google books, (when children tried tı find a new information), yandex search.
We have designed wordpress site with my students. My students created some projects to use in our daily life and they presented their ideas on Internet via wordpress. https://tr.wordpress.com/I used the video how Internet works in my class.I also used Becky's story to teach Internet safety to my students.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_o8auwnJtqE

At what age of the students and how do you start to address these topics in your classroom? Can you recommend resources from your country to address these topics?

We would talk to children at any age because, children meet computer and Internet technologies so early. I give computer science lesson to children at 11-13 years old I start to address these topics mentioning social media. Children use social media usually for sharing. They want to share their photos, their private information such as age, school name, their current place etc. We have to ignore them about this. Here is Becky's story...
In our country we have great resources for that.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmBKdP7aALE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GgIz5zWe8c
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNPFVf1SW-U
