New Horizons

The New Horizons mission was a satellite that was launched to observe the gas giants of our solar system. It was launched at a window of time and space were most of the gas planets were in line making it really easy for the New Horizons to pass many of the planets.

The United States Of America launched the Apollo 11 space craft and successfully landed on the moon with Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin being some of the first people on the moon. A series of missions happened after Apollo 11 must of them being successful.

Sputnik one was the first man made object launched in space October 4, 1957. This was one of the most important space events in history as it pioneered the next space flights that would happen in the future.

NASA Created

NASA was created in 1958. NASA means National Aeronautical and Space Adminitration. NASA would go on to be most of the American space flights in the next 50 or so years.

First Chimp in Space

Mars Pathfinder

July 4 1997 NASA launched the Mars pathfinder to Mars to find out if there was living life on Mars. It found data that suggested that micro-organisms existed on Mars.
