There are still teachers in the public school system that try to mold students to conform to a specific answer, hindering their creative ability and their opportunity to express themselves in the classroom. As seen in the short film, teacher A molds the little boy to draw a specific flower, thus when the little boy is given the opportunity to draw something on his own in teacher B's class, he draws the flower once again. Furthermore, seating arrangement either to singular desks for individual work versus grid form for group work is still used today.

We saw two different classrooms with two different teaching styles. From the way that the classrooms were set up to the ways they instructed the student, each teacher was doing their own independent style of teaching (that in their eyes were considered correct). We still see teachers using extremely different styles to conduct their classrooms

The boy experienced a loss in autonomy over their own creativity because their first teacher didn’t allow for their curiosity to drive them. By the time he got to the new school, when the teacher wanted him to be free, that freedom of self was gone. Much of this aspect of autonomy is still present today as teacher want us to be orderly.

In the Little Boy, it is evident that there are different teaching and learning styles and it is evident that although some students are able to work well in the authoritative, 'I say, you do' environment, others need to have their creative and artistic side shine through in the classroom. As a teacher, I feel that it is important to ensure that we try to incorporate multiple teaching and learning styles in order to cater to a variety of students.
