The US healthcare system and the evolution of AI technology is bound to crash at any moment. However, my review is that these themes can never mix because healthcare relies on the aunthencity of human efforts. I chose this topic because I believe that health care is not a privilege and must be rightfully given to everyone. Throughout this padlet, I will cover the negatives and positives of implementing AI in healthcare and what some doctors may think of this idea. I believe that these two issues are significant to me because not everyone has the ability to afford healthcare so if AI becomes a part of it how can that affect the cots, accessibiltiy and if there would be any more laws implemented.

Artificial intelligence can be a useful tool for long hours of surgical practice and can be a tool for upcoming surgeons to learn from. Machine learning within surgery can create data that can predict patterns and avoid complications. The machine learning tool within surgeries can create assemble predictors that can give real-time feedback during surgery to doctors and with accuracy. However, on the other hand, a computer's processing ability still depends on the human language. The language in which the data is spoken has to be comprehensible for humans. Clinical records can become more for the patients understanding and can shorten the lengthyness of the record by putting in certain text words or filtering whats important for doctors to know about a new patients medical history. The easiest factor is the video and visual aid that can help provide surgeons while performing surgeries, these visual aids can help the surgeons understand the area they're performing surgery on better and be able to gain knowledge about the human body. Recordings always take place within surgery rooms but the recording being able to identify organs, vessels and layers in the skin can help in avoiding any mistakes.

The main concern with AI tech within healthcare is how it affects insurance companies. AI replacing the job of healthcare representatives to make decisions seems dystopian. An example being one of America's big healthcare groups, UnitedHealth. They've been exposed recently for showing the use of AI in their administration process. The company reassured their customers that the use of AI is strictly used for responsible measures. According to UnitedHealth, "The responsible use of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies is essential to the future of health care." Yet, the use of AI was known to deny claims of certain customers and to take advantage of the customer's dire situation with their health.

many new upcoming undergrads have now been exposed to the idea of AI. The use of AI being a factor to help students cheat can affect their performances out in the real world. With education, AI can be used to perform false information to the public about health and scare the public. Various fields in the medical world tend to rely heavily on the knowledge students gain from college or med school to prepare them to serve the people. However, with ChatGPT gaining popularity there's a concern for the authenticity of the student's work. Educators may have a more difficult time in differentiating who's using AI and who isn't but it comes with heavy accusations that depend on the student's academic career.

AI has changed the healthcare industry through diagnostics, treatments and during operations. Yet, the future shows a world where AI will be apart of healthcare services and in early disease detection. The biggest concern being to incorporate AI but without violating HIPPA laws and still being authentic. Personally, AI has great potential within the healthcare industry to aid both the company and the consumers. If AI isn't used properly then I predict that it wouldn't be well for the consumers, to use AI for greedy purposes will only strain the relationship between the company and consumers. There needs to be a discussion about the ethnics about AI and what is and isn't acceptable.

The societal impact of AI goes further than just the clinical environment, its employment opportunities, privacy and equality. The use of AI will determine the tasks of data collecting. Without violating HIPPA, AI relies on databsets that contain patient information which can trigger a conversation against AI due to the sensitive information having a chance of being hacked into. With equality, many are concerned about how the system can be made to disadvantage certain marginalized groups and give better opportunities to more wealthier groups. Universal health equity matter heavily especially with the use of AI. Health care has to be diverse, but personally, I am hopeful hat the future will be prepared for such technology and learn from the mistakes.

Overall, my research seemed to shift with a negative connotation of the future but I still hold high hopes that the people will advocate for diversity and equality in the healthcare system. I've discussed the mostly negative ways that AI can affect the healthcare industry and personally, I believe that it wouldn't be a great thing to merge. I believe that the US would capitalize off of the new tech and there needs to be a boundary to ensure that there's no corruption within a system with AI and healthcare. A challenge was trying to find the positives, because although it can help the surgeons and organizing paper work there's always a bad side. I feel like the evolution of AI will only grow and there needs to be boundaries and laws to ensure the responsibility and consumers can experience the full affect.
