I’m from white people sayings that my friends never understood.
I’m from an afternoon learning center, a community pool and an in-n-out across the street.
I’m from Little House on the Prairie and nappy hair.
I’m front constant trips to Universal Studios, reading late at night, and rewatching sentimental movies that make me feel comfortable because I always know how it ends. 
We are from teaching classes at Global Projects Academy with the same kids over 4 years, volunteering at the Zen Center Children’s Class since the 8th grade, explaining robotics and engineering to Kindergartners, working at Tiny Tots Preschool, still being a mentor to my mentee over 3 years, transforming my living room into a classrooms for my brothers.
