At first Nicks dream was to have the money of the upper class used to be his dream, but he learned that money does not mean success, it demonstrated an unfulfilled American dream so then his goal became to not have money, all he wanted the money for was being able to be with daisy, but he could not get her. Because Nicks past, is not having an upper-class family, that was the reason why he is never going to be equal to east egg people (old money).

Nick's point of view is that the American hopes and dreams are no longer alive. Nick learned and built up his position against this dream by observing how others fail to pursue it.

Nick sees life thought Gatsby’s perspective, the child like believing that every morning is a new beginning to achieve the dream and defeat does not exist.

Toms personality is different from other characters in the novel. Tom is selfish, egotistical, doesn't care about others wellbeing, and treats other as inferior to him.

Daisy's hopes and dreams was to be rich and live a life full of the comfort and wealthiest that those of the upper class enjoyed and their relationship wasn't that good. daisy’s dream was to live a rich and wealthy life, her husband tom provided her with the upper class lifestyle.
