In many countries around the world, tourism is a leading industry. But in fact, it has produced more problems than it has actually solved. Some countries largely depend on tourism as their source of income to build a better quality of life and a better economy; however, tourism has been destructive for their culture and national identity.
First of all, tourists can come from different cultures and they bring their tantrums with them. In fact, people in many countries in Africa and Asia, who depend on the money that comes from tourists, adapt to the foreign cultures and their native culture changes a lot. They start singing some popular foreign songs, learning words of foreign languages to attract more tourist, etc. Because of that their cultural identity is slowly disappearing.

Secondly, tourists produce much waste. Every year the “tourist season” brings around garbage, wildfire, water pollution and this happens because tourists do not take care of the nature.

Also, some tourists can be rude and disrespectful to other cultures. For example, it is not acceptable to wear shorts in a Muslim country because of their culture. Tourist hanging out in shorts in such places can be ethically wrong to Muslim people and younger generation might get intimidated by such behaviour or might try to copy it.

In conclusion, the advantages of tourism are mostly economic, and if we are talking about culture, environment and identity, tourism can cause a lot of harm.

Nowadays tourism is becoming more and more popular. For many countries tourism is one of the major sources of income which makes the economy stable. It brings money to the country from many different parts of the world, but is it a positive trend?

Firstly, it should be noted that tourism is mostly seasonal- big percentage of tourists visit many countries in one season (for example summer)When the majority of tourists leave the country in one season , many people lose their jobs. Spain could be a good example of this trend. Many tourists arrive into the country during the summer because the country is located near the sea and the temperature is high, so it is comfortable to stay there during the summer season. However, in the winter there are only a few tourists, so many hotels stay are left “empty” and people become unemployed.
Another economic problem is that people are living leaving other industries, such as agriculture, to work in the tourism industry in the countries where tourism is well-developed. Naturally, these jobs are more popular as they are well paying. For example, if you work at the factory, your salary is 90$ per month and most people working in tourist industry get paid at least 200$. Consequently, the Country just slows down in development, the technological progress can stop and it is really bad for the country. The Government should pay attention to this and prevent such problems.

In addition to creating economic problems, tourism can also impact the culture of the country. Many countries change their traditions because of the tourists. For instance, tourism was one of the reasons why local people in a Japanese city Kioto stopped wearing their national clothes outside on ordinary days in order to look more like ordinary Europeans.

Finally, tourism takes its toll on the ecology of the country. Many places in the country, especially natural objects, such as lakes or mountains, become extremely popular with the tourists. People come there and destroy beautiful pleases. They leave litter and make noise, which is harmful for the environment. Also, the local people start to open shops in the popular tourist places and destroy the environment even more.

In conclusion, I would like to say that tourism brings many benefits for the country, but it can also be very harmful for the environment and the culture.

Nowadays tourism has become very popular. People can travel where they want and see a lot of wonderful attractions, such as Pisa tower, Eiffel tower, Coliseum etc. People spend a lot of money when travelling, so country they visit benefits from tourism. But, unfortunately, tourism can badly affect the nature and the culture of the country. So, will benefit for the economy overweight the damage to the nature and the culture of the country?

Firstly, the country can get a lot of money from tourism. For example, in Malta the share of tourism in GDP is 15%. It means that Malta earns 15% of its income only from tourism. I think that tourism is a good opportunity to improve the economy of the country, which can enable the country to solve a lot of problems such as unemployment or pollution. The life in the country will become more comfortable and even more people will want to visit it as tourists.

Also, tourism is an educational activity. People can study history and culture of other countries. People become more tolerant when they visit a lot of exciting places around the world. It is a good point to develop tourism. In addition, people get positive emotions from trips. For example, fjords in Norway are the most beautiful places in the world and impressions from that trip will always stay in people minds for a long time.

But besides solving some problems, tourism may also cause new ones, for example pollution.
Surprisingly, tourism solves one ecological problem (which one??) and causes another. For example, irresponsible foreign tourists litter a lot, mostly at famous attractions. mention the airplane pollution Also, foreign tourists may carry some viruses from their countries. The inhabitants of country they visit have not developed immunity to these new viruses and they may become ill. So tourism is dangerous and may cause a lot of huge problems.

Finally, tourism may bring a lot of money for country and solve a lot of its problems, but also may cause other, also a lot of people get unforgettable impressions from trips. And I think that there are more positive points than negative to continue develop tourism and allow people to visit new places. The final paragraph is poorly developed and doesn't explain your position

Nowadays, tourism is becoming one of the most popular activities. Because of technological progress people can easily travel to a different country or even a different continent. People want to explore the world by themselves and countries promote tourism because of its benefits. For some countries tourism is their major source of income. But there are always two sides to a coin and tourism also has its disadvantages. And sometimes the price of becoming a country which is popular among the tourists is extremely high. So, why and how tourism can be dangerous?
First of all let's talk about the problems that tourists cause to the people who live in the tourist areas. When foreigners come from a different place, they usually act according to the rules of their own country or sometimes even do not respect other cultures. Tourists can be very rude and aggressive, it leads to spreading hatred for all travellers. Sometimes even the mentality of tourists can cause discomfort for locals. For example, in the past century some restaurants in France were closed for all Russians because of some stereotypes and prejudices that a lot of French people shared.

Secondly, tourism can be harmful for the environment. On the one hand, tourists can leave a lot of garbage, polluting the nature. The tourists from some countries where garbage is not recycled might not know how to sort the litter. On the other hand, the development of tourism needs natural resources. Building infrastructure and roads, providing food, water and other services cost a lot of resources. This might also ruin the ecological balance of countries which are popular tourist destinations

In the end, I want to say that tourism can be dangerous for the country and probably harmful for environment by itself, but we can reduce the number of problems if tourists will be more thoughtful and attentive to other cultures and nature.

Problems caused by tourism are much more serious than those it has solved.

I totally agree with this statement because problems caused by tourism concern all spheres of society: economics, social, and environment.
First of all , tourism makes local goods more expensive, rising costs on them , which leads to the situation when local people can not afford to buy them anymore.
Also, shops stock up on products for tourists, instead of every day goods needed by locals.
In addition , the demand for holiday homes makes housing expensive for local people. For example, in the context of overtourism in Lisbon, locals began to leave due to higher housing prices.
In 2017, the share of tourists using Airbnb was 6.8%. In 2013, this indicator was 2.1%.
According to AirDNA, in March 2018, 12,700 apartments in Lisbon were available on Airbnb. Compared to 2015, there is an increase of almost 70%. In 2017, the cost of renting a square meter of housing in Lisbon was 9.62 euros, almost twice as much as the national average.
Moreover, it is important to mention that jobs in the tourism industry tend to be seasonal, low paid, with long working hours. This factor puts additional stress on the local population.

Social sphere can also be affected by tourism. Tourists may be disrespectful to the local religion, or local traditions and this will inflame different conflicts. Give an example
In addition, theft and vandalism are becoming more frequent in crowded places. For example, at Lake Baikal, on the island of Olkhon, the tourists cut down the oldest trees, valuable because they grew up in another climatic era - the Small Glacier.

Finally , tourism brings a gigantic damage to the landscape because of carbon dioxide emissions.
It’s not a secret that most tourists nowadays travel by air, and planes emit a huge amount of carbon dioxide. According to the data from EORA MRIO , during time from 2009 to 2013, CO2 emissions from tourism account grew up from 3,9 to 4,5 giga tones of carbon dioxide equivalent.
According to scientists, by 2025 this figure could rise to 6.5 giga tones.

All these crucial problems are much more serious than those which have been solved by tourism (creating jobs for local people, rising income for a local economy) and we should always remember that!

Nowadays tourism has become very popular, where ??? are a lot of wonderful places you can see, different countries and even continents, but how tourism can influence a country’s economy ???.

I want to start with a statement that tourism is a really important source of income for most countries: France, Greece, Italy etc. Tourism may be the most profitable industry that makes the country’s economy stable.

There are some advantages and disadvantages of tourism.

Firstly, tourism is a great way for the government to earn money. Nowadays, travelling is becoming more and more available for people. Because increasingly more people travel to a country, it will receive substantially more money earned from the taxes (why from taxes??).

Secondly, tourism is the only way to earn money for the countries with a small territory ( what about Arab states that earn money by selling gas and oil???), because their governments just do not have enough space to build factories; or without natural resources, so mining is not an option too. - I WOULD LEAVE THUS PARAGRAPH OUT - IT DOES NOT ADD TO THE ARGUMENTATION, JUST CONFUSES THE READER

On the opposite, there are some disadvantages of it WHAT???.

Relying more and more on the tourism industry, countries may slow down or forget about the development of the other sectors.

Moreover, the big amount of tourists from another countries can negatively influence on the country’s culture. The stream of a new religion WHAT???, opinions and noise may cause discomfort for the natives and slowly destroy the “native” culture.

For example, Vatican has transformed from a religion capital to a big museum because of masses of tourists.

In the end, I want to say that considering all the above, tourism has some great benefits, but, in my opinion, some countries rely on it too much.
