It is said that in Exuma the plumes are caused by cooling and or evaporation on the small banks. This phenomenon has been linked as a partial cause of the coral killoff. The salinity of the water off exuma is also dictated by hurricanes and tropical systems that stir up the ocean.

Bonefishing (Pictured above) is also very popular however these fish are very strictly catch and release.
