Equality is giving every student the same opportunities and resources. Equity is giving each individual student the opportunities and resources they need in order to be successful.

Bias is when someone is favored a certain way based on their past/experiences. Multicultural education is the philosophy that education contains students from all kinds of different cultures and backgrounds. Social Justice is the fight for equality and what is "right" in our world. The other terms I am less familiar with.

I think the multicultural education is very important because it allows the opportunity for students to learn to accept and have a new sense of awareness for different cultures.

I have an idea of what most of these terms mean. However, I want to learn how to act out these terms or how to check if I'm properly acting out some of these terms. For instance, I know what bias is but I do not know how to check my own bias.

Social justice is where everyone deserves a fair opportunity regarding economics, social and political rights. Meaning that everyone should be fair and equal regarding resources,opportunities, and privileges in society.

Culturally Relevant Pedagogy

Focuses on multiple aspects of student achievement and supports students to uphold their cultural identities. Also calls for students to develop critical perspectives that challenge societal inequalities.
