I chose this topic because my dyslexic students could then spend time in class working on fluency of these facts which they need help with; they would have the background knowledge and trick down because they watched the video and did some activities at home.

Before: Have each student answer 2 plus nine problems and write down how they know the answer.
While: Take notes on how they are doing with the activities; are they being successful or do they need assistance? Watch the collaboration between students; are some explaining more and teaching others that may have not been as prepared or have as strong of an understanding.
End: Have students draw a picture and explain the trick orally. Each child would have a different fact. Have students do a timed sheet and time them over the next few days.

When coming to class if the students need more time to watch the video they could have that time while others may have the rule down and be ready to practice. Those that need the visual would have that option with that center of blocks/manipulatives. For students that are more kinesthetic they could use the sand and shaving cream to write the facts in. The students that need to express themselves orally would be quizzing each other and explaining the facts to me.
