Create flashcards for each of the facts 9 + 0 through 9 + 10.
Build each fact with the manipulatives sent home to give you a visual of what the facts look like.

 While: Take notes on how they are doing with the activities; are they being successful or do they need assistance? Watch the collaboration between students; are some explaining more and teaching others that may have not been as prepared or have as strong of an understanding.
End: Have students draw a picture and explain the trick orally. Each child would have a different fact. Those that need the visual would have that option with that center of blocks/manipulatives. For students that are more kinesthetic they could use the sand and shaving cream to write the facts in.
