When I was in middle school, I used to think that English was a very difficult subject. In first grade of middle school, I felt embarrassed and weak whenever I was asked to read in English. I always said, “I can’t read English.” However, Ms. Wafaa never gave up on me. She always encouraged me to read and improve, even when I lacked confidence. Because of her support and patience, I slowly started to improve and change my opinion about English.

Later, in high school, I thought I would not do well in the first semester because at first I did not fully understand the lessons, and the teaching style was difficult for me. I usually stayed quiet in class and did not participate like I normally do in other subjects. But Ms. Fareeda completely changed my expectations. Now, I understand grammar much better, I enjoy English classes, and my English skills have improved a lot. I even became excited for the class every day.

I am truly grateful to both teachers for their support, encouragement, and belief in me. I hope Ms. Fareeda will continue teaching me in second year of high school because she helped me love the English language and believe in myself.
