''Huh that's strange. Jessie doesn't have a holiday booked for a while.''
The shadow monster silently slithered from under the bed pondering ways to get into the car when a hushed whisper was heard from the next room.
''I'm sure i heard a noise, i just want to check shes ok''
''Ok but your just being paranoid she's ... GONE''
''Where has she gone '' thought Shadow.
The sickening cries from Jessies mum grew louder as she screamed her name.
''Jessie ... JESSIE''
She was already gone. The police were called but they were no help, they can't help until 24 hours has passed. Shadow felt something new; anger, regret, a thirst for vengeance.
And that was exactly what Shadow would get...
