IA - Ideally would localize more stories. Would like to pitch stories. Do not use NEA content enough, wants to give back.

IA - print is going by the wayside at some point. Looking for more digital/interactive content to share. Local side bar pieces. Improve local feel. Desires more imager based content posters and graphics. Helpful to get as example Indesign file, templates, filler content and republishing. Exists in Drupal for digital some template content available.

How do we alert the affiliates of States that they are being featured in the NEA print pub. (Requires a process)

OR- Session conversation of what is coming in the NEA pubs very helpful. Knowing big stories to come, a schedule would be valued. Editorial calendar. If you want your elected official included in a NEA feature/comparison, states would value the opportunity, writers would appreciate the lead for content.

Would state Comms call be the place to share ? Call may not be percieved as valuable by some affiliates. How do we improve the value.

What does NEA need from state affiliates ?- Answr. Sources and Retired would like to source content for member voices. People stories, activism.

MI- Brenda- appreciates the work on issues that she cannot tackle on her own. And is MI focused. Story pending that is important to MI members

Would like to know when our members are featured. Often does not know about local interest stories. Needs notification or it is lost in the river of information.

State stories have more opportunity for collaboration than we are taking advantage of.

Is a wire service type of content sharing of value to both the national and state content producers ? Searchable, content database. Shared CMS- how do we make content sharing feasible and accessible. MI- would find value in such an option. BA- Vetting process can be cumbersome for a number of reasons.

IA - Real need for an easy to use system. Midwest had difficulty and tried to create midwestern content sharing, unable to maintain due to lack o systems.

GB- There is a bit of dis-service to state affiliates to have not met NEA writers and national resources. Not feeling connected to the national team, more than just leadership. Need to meet more folks to feel supported. Need some QA time with writers. Not just small table at an event with one writer. (ex. Brenda - New Mex)

BA- Is there a better way to get state members for sources ? Training for Comms Director might be of value for these types of requests. Is this through the presidents. Might want to work through the Comms Directors. Discuss best practice for points of contact.

RB- can we put topics in buckets and have names collected in advance, if we know the story is coming. Standing evergreen pool of contacts. List of ESP voices as an, example or source database of people who are willing to share their story.
