As more and more detailed data is becoming available on health and behaviour, public health interventions can be tailored to the specific needs and circumstances of individuals. These targeted interventions are an increasingly important tool for governments, health insurers, companies and other stakeholders to improve health, sustain health care costs, and fight inequalities across socioeconomic groups. The Population Health Management track prepares students for a managerial role in this transition towards data-driven public health. The main goal is to enable students to design, implement and critically evaluate data-driven population health interventions and to derive policy recommendations. Students are provided with a solid background in epidemiology, health economics, governance, and design thinking. During the track they will apply their skills to real life cases and create data-based health interventions working together with the field.

After following this track, student are able to

· Combine insights from epidemiology, health economics and governance to identify the individual and collective drivers of health in specific populations

· Analyse how the cultural context and the design of financial and care models affect the optimal strategies to improve public health

· Design data-driven population health interventions

· Implement these interventions in a multi stakeholder environment

· Evaluate the process and outcomes of these interventions

· Give policy recommendations based on the findings

· Discuss ethical principles
