so, update. CEX by accident gave my spot to someone else so now I'm doing it for my primary school KNS.

2nd-6th/12/2024.

These 4 days I did work experience in marks n Spencer’s, well, I enjoyed it a lot. We started at 9am but I didn’t start till after break, I had to do an assessment due to protocols in case anything went wrong and you had to do a trial run, because me and my friend who I did work experience with didn’t bother getting a full time job in M&S we weren’t allowed to use the jackets & over 18s are only allowed to be in the freezer to get the baked goods,I worked on the clothes section first, it was highly boring but at least I’d something to do, Martina. (My grandmothers favourite employer.) she said hello to me and asked her to help her on the food section, I was so grateful instead of finding odd pairs of shoes. We had breakfast up in the canteen and me and my friend had toast and Nutella, (I made coffees for both of us.)

My manager Ada on the 2nd day gave me and my friend shortbread biscuits as a well done for the day before. I got confused at one point and went through the wrong door and I set off the fire alarm, I felt really embarrassed and I cried in the bathroom, my boss Ada gave me a hug and said

“You got the whole town gossiping about us you’re not in trouble, you got us more customers!” So she was really happy.

What I learnt was that, there’s a lot that comes to stocking shelves, and using honeywells are so much fun and you can pretend to scan your friends as a joke.

25-29th.(2 days sick.)

KNS or St John the apostle Knocknacarra national school Galway.

My first day back in KNS was nostalgic, looking back in the halls we used to run around was the nicest thing, most teachers that I had are still there, it was weird not seeing M.Noreen around because she retired, we found out that our favourite teacher (or the favourite girl teacher of the school.) got the vice principal job, the students also on work experience were Roman, from my primary class (I haven’t seen him since we graduated.) he changed a lot, Charlie still is the same and Sophie & Stephanie go to school with me so I’m used to seeing them around. Firstly we started off in room 3, senior infants M.Diane’s class. They introduced us to the kids and my neighbour Max was in that class, we did junk art (it’s up cycling materials and turning them into art pieces.) and we watched Bluey during break because it was raining, after break we went to first class and 2nd class, it was weird seeing some of the teachers as it was nearly 5 years since we saw them. (Because of lockdown in 5th & 6th class.) we did sight words with 2nd class next and I did the Irish sight words & phonics, my best friends little sister gave me a hug when she saw me, I asked the teacher is it ok if I hug her back & she just giggled & said “You know her outside of school & longer than me, so. I don’t mind!”

3rd class I taught the class French & Italian, my best friends sister was in that class so I was just keeping an eye on her as a joke because we live in the same estate, my primary classmates friends sister Anna was in that class also, she was happy when she saw me.

The one thing that shook me is that the school does more instruments as

I got selected to go to a breast feeding talk in the GUH, of course, I didn’t get lost cuz I’m so used to my appointments in there. It was interesting because there was a few kids that I knew and my old science partner was there I didn’t realise she moved to colaiste na coiribe so she was happy to see me, I made 2 friends from that school and it was interesting & the cupcakes were delicious even though we were all afraid of the cupcakes in case they were mixed with Breast milk, (they were normal cupcakes.) I’d an appointment that morning and it was weird seeing eve but I also got excited (she was the nurse that helped me after getting my appendix out during the summer.) because she was a midwife, I did learn a lot about breastfeeding but I don’t really remember that much bar my question was. “What positions do you recommend?l everyone laughed so, it was funny but I was embarrassed.

The shoe boxes was a nice thing to do, seeing all these kids being happy was our main priority as we had to not put liquids in. Wash, wow, wear, write, and it was very fun, I was the only one that wore a Christmas jumper because ms o Boyle told us too, I got scared that I was going to be given out but she just found it funny.

Yoga was tiring, I was covered in sweat, thankfully our school let me use the shower to get the mud off.
