Most slaves were whipped and worked from dawn til night. </strong>Background: <strong>Frederick Douglass was one of the people who tried to abolish slavery. Frederick Douglass used his writing to show people his position of the slavery. His writing showed the conditions of the slavery and why they were bad. Also Frederick Douglass supports his ideas about slavery in his writing. He belives that slavery is bad for slaves and slavery also corrupts the owner </strong>Thesis: <strong>Along with the use of figurative languages, Douglass use his writing to reveal the effects of slavery on slaves and slaveholder which supports his position to stop slavery.</strong></div>]]></description>
