A well delivered feedforward (almost)

I think the example 3 is a very good example of feedback that the student can use to improve their essay while not being discouraged to write the next. It gives also enough direction to the students for a better grade - however, I would have thought using some examples from the essay (or giving some examples on how to 'adopt greater analytical tone' would have helped the student more.

I thought the feedback is providing a good guidance on how to improve the essay but focuses mainly (if not only) on the negative aspects of it. It might be better to point out at least one or two good thing that the student did to encourage them in writing more.

I think this is a derogatory way to write a feedback - good that they use an example but it does not seem a constructive feedback to me (leaving alone whether the student would be too discouraged to attempt another work).
