As both a sign of spring and a symbol of Wales, the children carefully observed daffodils before creating a still life painting inspired by them.

PE day for Reception Class is on Mondays

Year 5 & 6

In English, we have begun a new writing unit based on Shackleton’s famous Endurance expedition.

We wrote recruitment adverts, thinking carefully about persuasive language and the qualities needed for such a challenging journey. We then explored the key features of formal letters before working in teams to piece together three mixed‑up letters like a jigsaw.

This task encouraged careful reading, strong comprehension skills and plenty of logical thinking as the children collaborated to reconstruct each letter accurately.

PE days for Year 5 & Year 6 are Thursdays and Fridays
