1.	Evaluate your own learning in this module by reflecting on all the intercultural trainings and lectures. Mention at least two topics, which you experienced as helpful in your learning on intercultural management and explain why. Mention two topics, which you found less relevant and explain why.

Since my classmates are not English-native speakers and neither am I, sometimes we might misunderstand each other and it made me feel uncomfortable in some circumstances. When I applied the DIE method, I could evaluate from my own perspective and then check again with my friends easily without hurting someone by words.

2. Trompenaars’ 7 dimensions and cultural reconciliation

The Trompennars’ 7 dimensions mentions some insights into the culture in which I think it is true and correct for most nationalities. As I want to work in a multinational environment, these dimensions gave me a wider look onto the culture and customs of people’s countries. Hence, I can adapt properly and make use of them wisely.

3. The practice of non-violent communication

Indeed, I think this practice is good to help everybody release their internally disposable tension with stressful situation. It is like a self-reflection form with questions to review oneself. Through the circle of life i can understand more about how people feel and behave. With the words’ list, it helps me to know some words I could use to describe my feeling better, not in an aggressive way but with neutral tone. Personally, i believe this practice will help me reduce unnecessary stress to perform better, especially in the future I could promote in a higher position.

Topics that I found less relevant :

1. Cultural awareness – the iceberg

This section for me is more than a look back to my cultural background to explain for our belief as well as our behaviours. However, since it is like a look-back session, I do not find it useful for me in intercultural environment. It might be useful when I explain it and have the chance to express it with more workshops or cross-cultural activities instead of doing as an assignment. At last, not many people could read and gain knowledge from other people.

2. The balloon factory simulation training activity

Actually maybe because of the roles in the simulation made me feel uncomfortable or learned much from it. Moreover, the purpose of the simulation is to apply DIE method but indeed everyone apparently did not actually apply it. Through the activity, I did not learn much from it.

2. Determine for yourself two personal strengths and two challenges in dealingwith different cultures. Formulate two personal goals with specific, measurable and time-framed activities for the next semester to improve yourintercultural competences.

My strengths
-------------------------------------------
1. Open mindness
I think this is one of my strengths not because of the travels or cross-cultural opportuininty I had in the past but my passion to philosophy/ thinking. In this manner I do not judge at first, I let the cultural behaviours be, observe them and then adjust myself after evaluating the situations I've observed them.
2. Listening/ observing (two in one)
Despite my Polish culture (being a bit louder than the others) in the conversations (with intercultural people) I barely talk, first of all I listen to see if they are more direct or indirect then I look for like habitual gestures like noding etc.

My challenges
-------------------------------------------
1. Comprahension of observed behaviour
Sometimes although my two previously mentioned strengths it is hard to understand the behaviour of the people from the cultures and the motives leading to those behaviours
2. Avoiding uncertainty
I don't like to be disappointed by the outcomes so before I do something I would like to be sure I do it for certain reason, that it is viable and after some time I won't get stressed because of bad outcome.

My goals
-------------------------------------------
1. In the next semester, I will train my observing ability and applying DIE method to improve my understanding about my friends’ attitude. When observing and applying them, i will later ask them for further explanation and better comprehension between us. Since this activity can maintain frequently, I will do those activities at least 2 times per week and continue practicing until the end of the semester. During the observation, I will evaluate the situation and then see whether it is also applicable for many people or not.

2. Since I come from the rather low context culture I'd like spend the next semester improving the skills of comunication with the people from high context countries and not to insult anybody with sudden low context argument. After some time I will ask those friends about the feedback to see if there is any progress.
