My trip to Zambia

When Lukasa, the capital, arrived, I found a very lively city, full of markets, street stalls and very friendly people. From the first day I was struck by the hospitality of the Zambians always smiling and willing to help.

I tried their food, their typical dish is nshima, a kind of dough made from corn flour that is eaten with your hands. It is accompanied by a meat stew, chicken or fish, and vegetables in peanut sauce, and kapenta, some fried fish, all very tasty and different from what I'm used to eating.

His music is everywhere in the streets, in celebrations and even in collectives. I listened to a lot of Kalindura, a cheerful style with electric guitars and percussion. I also liked the traditional dance, it is very energetic and accompanies ceremonies and festivals.

LANDSCAPES AND NATURE: The most impressive thing was when I visited the Victoria Falls. Seeing that giant curtain of water falling with a deafening roar was something that left me speechless. The locals call them Mosi-oa-tunya, "the smoke that thunders".

I also did a safari in South Luangwa National Park. There I saw elephants, giraffes, lions and even a group of hippos in the river. The feeling of being so close to wildlife was unforgettable.

THE PEOPLE

I loved how they live in community. The villages I visited were simple but full of life: children playing, women cooking together, men working the land. They welcomed me with songs and dances, making me feel part of their culture.

Traveling to Zambia was like entering a world where nature is the protagonist, culture is breathed in every corner, and people make you feel like in.

It is green, with the green color representing the agriculture and vegetation of the country. On the green background is a rectangular block with three vertical stripes (red, black and orange), in addition to an orange eagle that symbolizes the ability of the people to overcome problems.
