Dr. Hui Ling: Concerted effort to take in the voices and opinions of student bodies in higher music education in the SEADOM Congress.

Dr. Bowman: Dramatic increase in bilateral cooperation between institutions throughout the region.

Dr. Tahir: Students doing Practicum at fellow SEADOM institutions

Dr. Prangcharoen: First Phase, where we got to familiarize with one another and —more importantly—got the ASEAN accreditation is done and it’s time to move on and plan for the next 10 years.

Dr. Tahir: Membership- To make people feel like they are benefiting from the membership so people will still want to be members

Dr. Shah: Actual involvement of the members- To make plans set by members such as the Theme Chair group to actually materielize.
  • - Dr. Bowman’s Suggestion/Solution to Dr. Shah’s point: Have a timeframe/deadline.
    • Dr. Guadalupe’s reply to Dr. Bowman’s suggestion: Things should be time based because its based on a need but a lot of the outcomes that we want for our students might not be as relevant coming into from the Pandemic

Dr. De la Peña: Revise vision of what music is or music education and music making is in Southeast Asia.

Dr. Chan: Relevancy of our music programs-  finding out what's important in music product music for the next ten years, especially in music production technology and other skills that the younger generation really need. 

Dr. Prangcharoen: Short in staffing
  • If we don’t have enough staff then we can’t have a staff to find bigger grants
    • Hire a grant finding officer

Dr. Bowman: Video Conferencing and other technological pathways

Dr. Santaella:  Review the types of activities held in congress’s
  • Ask members what types of workshops they’re looking for.
  • Suggestion: Job Fairs
 
Dr. Bowman: Member proposed discussion topics- ask member if there is a specific discussion topic that they’d like to include in the congress and have them chair it.

Dr. Hui Ling: To facilitate healthy exchange of ideas.

Dr. Hui Ling: Catalyze Meaningful Change- SEADOM to provide a platform in which these evaluations can be showcased.

Dr. De la Pena: SEADOM to do a more active role in facilitating partnerships between member institutions, MOUs and MOAs- have it built in to the organization itself instead of having schools to individually do this.
  • Dr. Bowman' suggestion: have institution involve and bring their IR coordinators in the congress.

  • Dr. Hui Ling: To ask our members who they think the main stakeholders of SEADOM are- ask if it is serving mainly the leadership from various institutions, faculty, students, the greater community outside of the institutions?
    • Dr. Bowman: SEADOM viewed as their best way to link in to the Asia Pacific region.
