Lydia

Period: 1

The most interesting statistic is #2 because social media itself is draining for people, the more you're on it, it's addicting, makes you lazy, and you could find people online that will drain you. Making you more suicidal and bored of life. The percentage is quite realistic, as when you are on social media, you may realize that meeting people is quite confusing. You never really know who you talk to, or call. People fake they're own identity online which leaves you questions, and sooner or later it could become stressful from what those people say to you, either it saying they love you or hate you, you never know if it's true or not. Leaving you more questions, it becomes draining, scary, and builds stress. And hate comments on posts you make can also stress you out. Also account stalking, which is from your view can hurt you in many ways. When stalking someone's account on social media you could find something that is about you, or is something that personally hurts you.

You never know what someone could say or make you feel a different type of way which makes you want to do suicide. A 71% and 5 hours of social media is very accurate knowing how many people are going through bullying or worse. Talking with people on social media can result in talking to people who can turn there back on you and make you want to commit suicide. A risk factor of 71% to 35% is a high. And just by spending 3 hours on social media to 71% and 5 or more hours is a high high to low.

Name: Sofia Shen

Period: 3

Comment: The most interesting statistic is #2, because it shows how much people can be influenced by what happens on social media to the point where it can lead to suicide or self harm. It really shows how people on social media (even those who are famous) are still humans with feelings and shouldn't be bullied or discriminated against. I also think it's interesting because it shows that cyber bullying is actually a big deal and isn't something that should be ignored, even if it doesn't seem like a big deal at first it can lead to something more and can cause actual harm to real people which I personally think is something that most people tend to forget or purposefully ignore. I feel that most times when people choose to ignore cyber bullying or block the person who is bullying them it would be better that way they don't receive any more hate. Although it would be much better if the cyber bullying wasn't happening in the first place, especially considering it can harm actual people.

The most interesting statistic is number 7 because what is the point of making rumors and why would they want to harm somebody. After reading statistic #13, one question I have is why would the ads not include certain religions, race, gender, and etc? That seems offensive on how social media excludes or bullies someone.
