“Now everyone can fly”.

    He is one of a great role model for today’s generation at which anything is possible whenever there are efforts and willingness. As the sayings goes, ‘where there is a will, there is a way’.

    He turned a failing airline (Air Asia) into a successful and fast-growing low fare airline in the world. Well, how did he do it?

    First of all, he drops down the formality in the workspace whereas they have an open plan workspace where nobody have rooms including him, and anybody can walk straight up to him anytime they desire to. 

    Moreover, the most appealing character of a leader that he has is that he encouraged the Allstars (what Air Asia called its team members) to dream big and have the opportunities to achieve something in the future by joining the Air Asia as a team. 

    A great example as prove is when AirAsia Thailand started, there was a woman that was hired as a flight attendant. Then, a year into it, she came and asked Tony, if it was possible for her to be a pilot and Tony said, 'Go sit through the classes. If you qualify, I will hire you as a pilot.’. She did and proudly to say that she had become the first officer and subsequently, she is now a full-time captain and flying the plane. 

    Thus, this justified that Tony Fernandes is a great leader that was proven by act and not words. He is packed with leadership role where he had given all the Allstars the space and chances to be something more in the future. Plus, an interesting thing about Air Asia is that they work as a family and cooperate as a team.
