The Faith Factor for Health means that believing in God, a higher power, or even in one’s personal values can have a positive effect on overall health.

Positive Thinking means focusing on solutions, opportunities, and the bright side of situations. It doesn’t ignore problems but approaches them with hope, resilience, and confidence that things can improve. This mindset usually leads to less stress, better health, and more motivation.

Negative Thinking, on the other hand, focuses on problems, obstacles, and fears. It often magnifies difficulties, creates self-doubt, and can make challenges seem worse than they are. Over time, it can increase stress, harm relationships, and even affect physical health.

Positive thinking is valuable, but balance is essential. Negativity is a natural part of life, and both positive and negative thoughts shape our experiences. Instead of focusing only on positivity, we should honor all thinking, since thoughts drive ideas, dreams, and human progress. By understanding, reframing, and appreciating our thoughts without clinging to them, we can achieve healthier and more meaningful outcomes. (Josh Watkinson)

A 6-year-old girl was upset with her schoolmates. She complained to her dad that no one included her in their play. The father took her to the hills to soothe the little one.

‘How beautiful is the place!’ exclaimed the child.

The father asked her to shout the sentence out loudly. Because they were in the middle of the hills, an echo came, ‘How beautiful is the place!’

The following day, the same thing happened at the little one’s school. When the father and the daughter went for a walk in the hills, she shouted, ‘No one likes me!’ and of course, the echo came, ‘No one likes me!’ The little one became sad on hearing the echo because that was the last thing she wanted to hear.

The father gave her a brilliant idea. He asked her to call out loudly, ‘Everyone loves me!’ By the simple law of sound mechanics, there were echoes again: ‘Everyone loves me…everyone loves me!’

The little one was pleased to catch the echoes.

Our mind is a mirror that reflects what we hear most often. If we feed it negative self-talk, it will throw back the same negativity at us. However, if we focus on positive thoughts and consistently feed our minds with them, we will hear them back, shaping our experiences more positively. This realisation brings hope and optimism.
