Today we still use the alphabet but we modified it to fit our needs. For example when you get through the alphabet in kindergarten and first grade so you can read later.

The first Olympic games started in the year of 776 BCE, or maybe even earlier. We still have the Olympics today, even though the Greeks did it to support the Greek gods, and we don't.

Many Greek myths were based on the fact that gods, like mortal men, could be punished or rewarded for their actions. We still talk about these gods and the myths that teach our kids lessons.
