In a scenario of helping a friend decide which UCs they should apply for, this meme can be used as background and argument. If a student who already attends UC Davis is assisting the friend applying for universities, the context of "living by cows" could address why attending UC Davis may not be the best choice due to the negative side effects such living by cows (smell, air etc..). This background can then be used as an argument as to why the friend should not apply to Uc Davis.

A scenario where a person wants to be a cow farmer would be interesting. The person should know the fact that UC Davis is a big agricultural school before actually applying. Students are also called Aggies which further gives the background of agriculture for the school. In the meme the person could see that people have unfavorable opinions with living near the cows. In contrast, the person that wants to be a cow farmer could actually wish to live next to the cows. By living next to the cows they can observe them anytime and get more experience with being around them. Since the benefit of living next to cows will also benefit their future of cow farming, this meme would then useful information that the person could use when considering where they want to live in UC Davis.

A scenario that I would use this meme is when my friend got into all the UCs and is now trying to compare what college she wants to attend. This meme can be used for background, exhibiting, and argument. This meme used as a background context might be me expressing how freshman dorms are usually next to the cows, and that the running joke in Davis are "living by the cows." This meme as an exhibit source is breaking down and analyzing how one might think life is like as a Davis student, and how many people perceive Davis as. Lastly, it would be used as an argument source because one might try to argue that "living by the cows" is a con when comparing all the UCS.

This meme can depict a scenario where two friends are discussing colleges they have gotten accepted to and comparing which one is better. This meme may appear in the conversation as an argument against pros of getting into Davis because although cows are entertaining and fun, it is not very ideal to live nearby them. This could also be used to exhibit how Davis students are seen as for living in cowville, giving the friend and idea of what she should prepare for.

The transfer student is unsure of whether they should live in the dorms or find a place of campus. This meme can be used as both a background and argument source. It can be used as a background source because the meme is illustrating information that the students on campus live near cows, therefore they will often get the scent of cow. It can also be used as an argumentative source because it is arguing and questioning whether or not they should live on campus or look for a place to live off campus.

This meme can be used for when a high school student is applying to colleges and has to weigh all the pros and cons of each college. This student has read that the campus of UC Davis is near cows and often times will smell of cows. It can be used as an argumentative source when weighing in pros and cons of UC Davis. A lot of people really hate living in Tercero because when the wind shifts, the stench of the cows is unbearable. When arguing which dorm section is the best, one might take this into consideration.

The scenario with the cows can represent an agricultural perspective. The person can show how two different perspectives of a rural vs suburban area. If two different students apply and get accepted into UC Davis, the student coming from a background of farmland would have no problem as this is a condition they live in their normal lives. However, a student coming from the city area would make the argument of an animalistic lifestyle. The smell, sight and noise of the farm animals would personify a negative impact on said person. The meme would symbolize the thoughts that the person from the suburbs area have upon living with these animals. The argument would depict how someone coming from a background with more people and less animals would show the changes they would have to make when coming to UC Davis

This scenario can be used for almost all parts of beam. For background, it can be used to provide some basic information about living in the dorms nearby to the cows. However, it can also be interpreted that the ups and downs of living near cows are noticeable across the entire campus, as sometimes even across campus the cow smell carries. This can also be used as an exhibit, for the reader of this meme to be able to learn what it is going to be like living at UC Davis, and what either might be good or bad. This can also be used as an argument, perhaps for someone who isn't so fond of dealing with living nearby cows. The meme clearly gives off a dreadful vibe, representing one viewpoint. One could definitely argue that it would be better to stay in a dorm further away from the cows with this.
