I learned that I can easily do such things like approaching someone and asking them to help. I saw how people change when it comes to helping a little boy. They all wanted do something. I learned that I can't be shy when it comes to helping someone. I can't put myself higher than this person that needs us. At first I was heartbroken that something that tragic happened to a kid, he has a life in front of him but then I felt really motivated to do something good. I knew that I need to do this stuff so he can live his life. Overall it was a great experience. Sadly I didn't had any like this till now. I was responsible for making notes for him to have a good and reliable source to learn as we did not have any book. We agreed to meet once a week on Saturdays to analyze the prepared materials and have a discussion. After the first lessons I learned that I need to be more patient with my student as everyone is unique and everyone assimilates the material differently and at a different pace. My student at first was a little bit scared that I will be mad at him for not knowing simple things but I am here to help him. I hope that with time we will do better and better because we are both learning in this new situation. This experience changed me emotionally in some ways. For the first time in a long time, I felt needed and was a kind of role model for someone. Also I saw that not everyone is perfect in every field and that there is always someone that needs help. I think that our first lessons were good. There is still a lot to improve but I feel that we will do great.

I feel that I am having fun while preparing materials and stuff to make it happen. After some time we started feeling more comfortable with our roles during meetings. Still I am kind of a teacher and my friend is a student but we treat each other as partners that are trying to get something from this meetings. Of course our goals are different but we are both essential to fulfill them. We both changed our perspectives a little bit. At first we were here just to do the lessons and that's the end. Now we are both having fun while doing it and we both benefit from each lesson. I have an impression that my gut feeling was right and we get along better with time. My student masters the material very well, so we have reason to be happy.

We started to understand each other better or even communicating without the words. I think that this kind of relationship that we managed to developed was crucial for the learning to be successful.
