One adj about Hilary is different. She is different because as she starts understanding what the jews went through she might split apart or leave the group she is in that hates jews and punishes them. A quote is when it says, "My world spun foward. flinging me headlong into the midst of a ghetto life." This shows how poor the lives of thejews were when they move aout of there homes and when Hilary wakes up she might think differenty

2) One Adj. that describes Hilary is Understanding. This is shown because she is starting to feel bad for the Jews, now knowing what they've been through. On page 119 it says, "get your janitor friend to unlock the school again, and then you can get him out" At this part Hilary becomes understanding and want to make sure the Jewish boy who they lock in the locker get out since he is important too.

I could hear their sturdy boots slamming down on the cobble road behind me." This is impacting her by her surrounding and what is happening in the moment.

The theme for this section is Don't Judge a Book by It's Cover. At the beginning of the book Hilary was judging the Jews but know that she has gotten to know them she isn't judging them anymore. On page 19 it says, "I don't know nothing about the kid." Hilary now wants to help the kid even though he is a Jew. On page 118 it says, "Get your janitor friend to unlock the school again, and then you can get him out." This also shows that she wanted to help the Jew instead of hurting him.
