Story: Finding Nemo
setting: Australian Ocean
Characters: Nemo, Marlin, Dory, Crush, Squirt, Gill, Bruce, Mr. Ray, Darla, Coral, Bubbles, Peach, Chum, Anchor, ...
Plot: Marlin, a clown fish, is overly cautious with his son, Nemo, who has a foreshortened fin. When Nemo swims too close to the surface to prove himself, he is caught by a diver and horrified Marlin must set out to find him. A blue reef fish named Dory  -- who has a really short memory -- joins Marlin and complicates the encounters with sharks, jellyfish, and a host of ocean dangers. Meanwhile, Nemo plots his escape from a dentist's fish tank.
Conflict:  Nemo swims away from the drop he gets captured by a scuba diver.
Resolution: Gill helps Nemo escape the dentist by putting him in the drain which leads back to the ocean where he is reunited with his dad, Marlin.
Point of view: third person omniscient point of view
Theme: The overarching theme in Finding Nemo is trust. Marlin must learn to trust his son. It is his misplaced trust in his son, that leads to the adventure. Marlin learns to trust others throughout his journey, especially when he is in the belly of the whale with Dory.
