Yumeko was the daughter of a bank tycoon who followed in her father's footsteps, finding success in the economic bubble in the 90s. Luckily, she was already married to Eitaro when the economy crashed, protecting her from the worst of the economic fallout.

Eitaro started small, running for positions within the local government before working his way up and entering the Diet.

He was elected Prime Minister by the Diet during the past election after the previous Prime Minister stepped down due to public criticism.

Eitaro, using connections through Yumeko, curried favors with the rich and powerful. He made global allies through investment and lobbying, and his popularity amongst the Japanese people is split--he is popular among the wealthy, as well as the ambitious. Liberal minds, however, are critical of his strict, traditional way of thinking.

Dating him proved to be dangerous, with enemies on all sides, both abroad and at home. It was here that Yurika began to find the need for both control and protection.

However, politics were never the scene for Yurika, and she had no desire to be nothing more than a trophy wife for some ambitious up-and-coming businessman or politician.

With the ever rising prominence of social media, Yurika saw an opportunity: this was her chance to not only be seen, but to control how she was seen.

She became an influencer, blending luxury branding and political advocacy that sometimes went directly against her father and his administration. Her online presence is immaculate.

Yurika has suffered through one attempted kidnapping that came far too close to success for her comfort. She has come home to disturbing, bloody packages, as well as crazed loved letters and messages detailing her exact location and schedule.

Unaware of which side her enemies are coming from, Yurika used connections through her father to search for guards to protect her, both online and physically.
