Genetic Modification is an alteration of a genetic material, as in farming to make it more capable of producing new substances or performing new functions. Sometimes genetic modification is used for protecting crop from bugs, infectious deceases, and feeding the hungry.

What I go out of this article was that genetic alteration isn't bad. It said "Likewise, most animal studies suggest that GMOs are safe" and they also said "To date, there is no evidence suggesting that GMOs cause harm in humans". So this leads me to think that genetic moderation isn't such a horrible thing.

What I got out of this article was that there are some bad things about it and some good. The bad were allergic or toxic reactions mostly. The article said "It has been estimated that 70% of all processed foods in the United States contain at least one genetically modified ingredient". That is a big number. So that could be hard for some people with allergies or toxic reactions.

What I got out of this article was that genetically altered food is good. The article said "corn is the most important and widely grown grain in the United States. However, corn cannot reproduce without human aid. Corn is also vulnerable to many pests and diseases, and corn requires a lot of nutrients. Bigger yields to create more efficient use of land, less uses of herbicides and other pesticides.Foods with better texture, flavor and nutritional value.Foods with a longer shelf life for easier shipping. Finally, GM foods can create an essential sustainable way to feed the world. This shows that overall gentialty altered food is really good for the world.
