Every year on Thanksgiving, each of my family members chooses a charity they'd like to support. The names of all of the selected organizations are placed on slips of paper inside a glass pumpkin and all slips are drawn until only one remains - that is the charity we all agree to donate to that year.

Every year on Thanksgiving me and my family play a football game in the morning. It is usually the youngest kids plus my uncle vs the oldest kids plus my dad. The last few years the youngest kids have won (my team). We also have breakfast before it.

Every year for Christmas, my immediate family goes to my grandparents house in Massachusetts. The only exceptions to this (that I remember) were when one year we went for thanksgiving instead and Covid (obviously). Recently we've been having gifts from extended family on my dad's side there, and gifts from family that live closer after we return.
