It also describes how people were forced to evacuate and how emergency services had to respond quickly to rescue those in danger. This helps contribute to the conversation by showing how serious and widespread the damage was, not just in one area but across multiple parts of the islands. It supports the idea that Hawaii may not be fully prepared for extreme weather events, especially as storms become stronger and more frequent. The article also adds a broader perspective by highlighting the need for better infrastructure, planning, and response systems to reduce damage in the future.
