I think that Gatsby would be lost for the moment. I think Daisy and Tom left, and that leaves Gatsby lost in his life. I think he's strong enough that he might continue to be extremely successful, yet continue to be obsessed with Daisy. I don't see him following Tom and Daisy over the world to get her back. I think he has enough pride in him to focus his attention elsewhere.

I think that Gatsby's wealth would have collapsed in on himself, because I can infer that he didn't have a job and that he was acquiring his money through sleazy means. He may have also ended up in jail if rumors about Myrtle's death spread far enough.

I think Gatspy would've been the same shallow man that he was. I could even see him still trying to chase after Daisy, even though her and Tom wasn't going to break up. I could also see Gatspy eventually getting caught somehow with either the death of Myrtle or his illegal businesses. I don't think there was ever going to be a happy ending for poor old Gatspy.

It is interesting to consider if the past would catch up to him and if Gatsby would be tried for the crime of killing Myrtle. It would be considered vehicular manslaughter, which he already stated he would take the charge for Daisy. Also you note, he could be caught with illegal dealings in alcohol during Prohibition. Once he losses his motivation, he might become careless in his business dealings as well.

I like the phrasing you used, "Gatsby's wealth would have collapsed in on him." It's very possible all the shady dealings would catch up with him, possibly he could be murdered due to the bootlegging or by one of Wolfsheim's associates. He also would take that charge for Daisy, so it's very possible he would have ended up in jail. Good reflections!
