I do not care for accounting past my own budgetary needs for my household. Money in, money out and savings are all I really need. That has been sufficient for 32 years of my adult life. I am a working professional with little need for working with simple numbers. Spreadsheets and finance columns are for the accountants and statisticians. I work with people in management, I produce nothing but relationships with workers and help eliminate the barriers in there way. in this current capacity there is no need for accounting in my future plans.

Jason Popp

To me accounting is what makes the world go round. With out anyone keeping track of money and how its being used we wouldnt have anything to keep a civil world. Even before we had all the papers and fancy excel sheets people still used accounting whether they knew it or not. The biggest thing i have learned with accounting is dont over think anything keep it as simple minded as you can and you will get it right 90%of the time.

Brayton Pestka

Chapter 1 What accounting Means to Me: Accounting to me means I have the ability to track my incoming and outgoing funds. I can construct a Budget. This is a way to build wealth or at least not lose it, if I am wise. I knew the basics when I owned a business but had to hire data entry. I also had to hire an accountant at the end of each year to make sure I had kept my books correctly. In the future, I will be able to understand how to read what I could not in the past. I had to take the word of others. I do not plan to go into the accounting field. My area of interest is to manage people. I have come to understand that in HR more and more accounting is needed. When dealing with people and their needs, one inevitably works with money in the end. Weather it is the cost of training, what their income will or could be, or a bonus

Accounting is tracking financials - on a personal or professional level. It's important to have a deep understanding for my career goals, as I plan on being a financial adviser at some point in my future. Without a deep understanding of accounting, I won't know where my clients are at, let alone how to advise them in any way.

Randy Hosmer

Accounting to me means the process of keeping track of an individuals financial records. I plan to be somewhere running a business or helping manage a business in the near future so its very important for me to know how to account the proper way when you're in a manager position at a business or running a business. Accounting comes in handy to keep track of your profits and expenses and is a great tool to use and be proficient with when handling financials.

Tianna Meeks
