An Experiencer is someone who keeps up with trends, wants the latest items and loves physical activity. This category of people is very social and spontaneous. An Innovator is someone who has a number of various interests. This person makes a high number of financial transactions, but is skeptical of advertising.

I do not consider myself an Experiencer. Although I do like to keep up with trends, I am not usually a spontaneous or social person. I do not enjoy physical activity. My personality and lifestyle align more with an Innovator. I am always learning new things and focusing on the future like an Innovator. New technologies fascinate me and I have a wide variety of interests. I tend to be skeptical of advertising and I analyze the meaning behind ads.

An ad that appeals to an Innovator:

This Sony ad (below) would appeal to an Innovator. As an Innovator, I am intrigued by new technology and new ideas. The ad says this: An television can change channels. This one completely changes television." Looking toward the future of technology is something that an Innovator often does. The simple nature of the ad would not invoke any skepticism, which an Innovators are prone to practicing.

An ad that does not appeal to an Innovator:

This ad below would not appeal to an Innovator. Because Innovators are interested in technology and new inventions, a hunting ad would not be compelling to an Innovator. This ad would appeal more to a Maker. Makers enjoy outdoor activities and believe in strict gender roles. The caption says "Don't Waste Life Believing Your Girls Impressed By Your Feminine Side." This is a clear gender stereotype. There also happens to be a grammatical error in the word "girl's," which would certainly be unappealing to an Innovator.
