What things are you proudest of in your life?

" Nothing in my life cam compare to my wonderful family, the love and support they provide me and to one another! My wife, who has stayed by my side for and supported me through thick and thin for over 50 years. My children who overcame hardship and grew into well respected adults. My grandchildren who love and support each other. Recently my grandson married and now I have a wonderful grand daughter in law and soon I will be welcoming a great granddaughter joining our family. I also need to mention my extended family members who live in South Korea and I got to meet them recently for the first time."

How did you get your first job?

" I was around 14 years old and to have some spending money I asked my uncle if I could do any odd jobs at the garage he worked at. Since age requirement prevented me from working there I asked him if he knew any place I could do odd jobs. He said he would look into it and a couple of weeks later he told me to go see a friend of his who owned a furniture store. I wish i could recall his name, he hired me to work in the stock room in the evening a few days a week and some Saturdays when new stock arrived. It was a pretty good job and I made enough to go to a movie or a burger place with friends. Best thing, I didn't have to bother my grandparents for money. "

If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?

"Although our country is currently facing some very grave challenges, I would not want to live anywhere else."

Who are your heroes?

"My heroes are those that have selfishly gave their lives to save others and or to protect this country. I also have to add my children and grandchildren who have through the years grown into fine adults despite facing the hardships and challenges our country has and is still currently facing."

If you had unlimited access to money, what would you do with it?

" First thing: I WOULD NEVER build or buy a huge mansion as the rich do as I see no reward in having such a place while others are sleeping on the streets. Yes, I would have a nice home and maybe a few play toys to keep we occupied but I would never flaunt my wealth. Instead I would put the money to work in order to assist others who are trying to help themselves, I would never just hand out money ( like the government does) to people as it does nothing to improve their lives in the long term in my opinion."

If you could thank anyone, who would you thank and why?

"My uncle although he and I had a short time to spend together he had the greatest influence on how I would live my life. He never married, but still he was able to make me realize how important family is. My children only had the opportunity to meet him when they were very young and never got to know him. He introduced me to many things in life that I would have bypassed or ignored as insignificant without his input. "

If you could see into the future, what would you want to find out?

What do you consider on of the best days you can remember?

"There are a number of best of days to consider that are outstanding to remember, as to which one is I would say as being number one is very difficult as each one had a significant effect on my life.

The first would be the day I finally arrived in the United States.

The second is the day I met my wife.

The third when my children were born.

I could easily rearrange these events to be the best but I think I will just leave it as is."

How has your life been different than you'd imagined?

" I migrated to the United States when I was almost 12 years old hoping for a life of freedom. Mostly that dream has come to be. Imaginations are just that imaginations that can never fulfill a life and will cause regrets so I do not dwell on them"

What's the first major news story you can remember living through as a child?

"It has to be the attempt by Hungarians to revolt in 1956. I was almost 5 years old and the event is still vivid in my mind to this day seeing Russian tanks rolling down the street in front of our apartment. The second and may be even greater is the assassination of President John F. Kennedy just after my arrival to the United States. Being in the United States I never imagined such an event could take place. It reminded me of things I learned through history and seen in Hungary during its communist era."

I chose my Papa because he's always had a large impact on my life. From when I was little spending the night with him and my Meme, he would sleep on the couch so I could sleep in the bed with my Meme. To now when he comes to all of my softball games that he can make it too.

Listening to all the stories of all the things he's gone through to make it possible for him and his family to live a good life makes him a very important person to me.
