For at least the past 10 years there has been one proposal after another for a Sustainability Center to do exactly this. How about we see some support from admin to build it instead of just making more proposals?

We could use Canvas or some other vehicle to collect articles, videos, stories, events postings and other materials that might be of interest to students, faculty, and staff.

Collect information on programs, faculty research and engagement, student groups and other environment/justice initiatives and create a website that organizes and highlights what we do.

A dedicated website would benefit the university by showcasing our accomplishments to prospective students and the larger community. And it would benefit existing faculty, students, and staff by revealing potential synchronicities and opportunities for collaboration and mutual support.

Meet all schools/departments/members where they are at and invite them in with support.

Building community is everything! Aligning across disciplines is amazing and needed for this movement. Protection for our adjunct and bipoc professors, especially those rooted in ecological spirituality.

While the OEI plan is campus-based, I think it would be impactful to encourage environmental activism in student careers as well. This could be career service events centered around climate-friendly companies, or companies that focus on climate technology.
