When I looked for my stats I looked for only 100 yards and not meters. Let us begin.
______________________________________________________
New York - Justin Gatlin has the fastest time ever for a 100 yard dash for an American. The time is 9.10 seconds which is also the second 100 yard dash time in history.
Arkansas - Charles Greene has the second fastest time ever for an American at 100 yard dash. His time was an astounding 9.21 seconds which is .1 seconds off first place, Justin Gatlin.
Missouri - Mike Rodgers for Missouri hit a time of
9.29 seconds in his career best. That adds up to the third fastest time ever by an American at the 100 yard dash.
Florida - Houston McTear sadly misses out on the top 3 fastest ever Americans at the 100 yard dash. He put in a hard effort to get there but got fourth with a 9.30 seconds. Just off by .01.
______________________________________________________ Fun Fact - The fastest ever time for 100 yard dash is held by Asafa Powell. His country is Jamaica and his career best which is the world best is 9.07.
