Hong Kong: The City of Dreams

I was around 7 or 8 years old when my family and I went on a magical trip to Hong Kong with some family friends. I was a young and imaginative kid and although I was young this adventure is still engraved deeply in my mind as one of my core memories.

Our first destination, Disney Land where dreams come true. In order to get to the famed Disney Land we boarded the Hong Kong Disney Land Railroad. A train that looked like it came straight from a Walt Disney Cartoon. It was colorful and even had Mickey Mouse shaped windows. As I looked out these windows, my young brain was overwhelmed with wonder and amazement.

Not long after, we disembarked the train and I took my first step into Disney Land. It looked like everything a child could ever hope for. There were Disney princesses and princes around talking to kids. Disney themed rollercoasters. Mickey Mouse shaped flower beds, carousels and fountains. Mickey Mouse shaped candy, headbands and toys which I even managed to convince my parents into buying me plush toys of Stitch from Lilo & Stitch. It was almost too much for my little mind to grasp. I didn’t even know what I wanted to do first.

We gawked at the huge colorful map of the park. Once we had a slim idea of where to go we didn’t hesitate to hop on all sorts of rides. We went on the Orbitron, UFO Zone, Space mountain, Buzz Lightyear rides and an Iron Man experience. It all felt so futuristic I almost couldn’t even believe it was real.

I loved animals so I pulled my parents with all my might in the direction of the jungle river cruise. Everything from the vines to the water and the statues felt so authentic. It seemed like the total embodiment of the ride’s name.

I was so excited I even mustered up the courage to go on a horror ride. I was shaking after but it quickly left my mind as I laughed at my father screaming for his mama on the rollercoaster.

After a rollercoaster of excited screams and laughter, night was almost settling in. We then watched a mini 3D movie. The whole experience was so magical it seemed like I was the main character in a Disney movie. I was in complete and utter awe. There were colorful gadgets and mystical trinkets seemingly floating right in front of me but when I reached out to grab them I was met with nothing but air. I swear that scene of me could be put in a Disney movie and no one would even bat an eye.

When we got out of the theater, I was disappointed to hear my parents say we weren’t going on anymore rides. I was confused as the park wasn’t closing yet but I didn’t defy them. We stayed to sit at one of the rest spots in the park and bought some food and drinks. I wondered why. They wouldn’t respond to any of my queries.

Suddenly, I saw a flash of colorful light and a loud boom. Fireworks! I looked up to the sky. Colorful sparks and illuminations lit up the dark sky. The radiant rockets whizzed and zoomed their way up to the sky then they shattered into dazzling and blazing sparks in the sky. These fireworks even formed mickey mouse shapes. The pinnacle of this rocket show ended was a huge singular rocket zooming into the sky then erupted into golden sparks so massive it almost covered the entire sky. It was hands on the most brilliant fireworks show I’ve ever witnessed.

Needless to say, I slept like a baby after that amazing day. Once morning came, we popped up and headed to our next destination which was yet another grandiose name that seemed to ring bells in our ears. Hong Kong Ocean Park. It has a nice ring to it.

Honestly, I was quite nerdy as a kid. I loved science and reading but as I previously mentioned, I also loved animals with a passion so Ocean Park and little me is a match made in heaven.

We made our way to our seats in a stadium-like setup but instead of a stage or a court in the center. It was a pool. A pool of dolphins, seals and sea lions. They were sliding about and jumping out of the water. A very wholesome and fun sight. I was engrossed watching these animals jump and play in the water so swiftly.

After that show we went to another one which showcased different types of birds. Eagles, Macau’s, Parrots and Owls flew above and around us. Such beautiful birds with bold colors and features.

We then went to the aquarium. We saw jellyfish in aquariums lit by neon lights. There were slender eels and colorful tropical fish. I even saw the adorable penguins walk and slide around. Each aquarium had a description and fun facts of the animal that it showcased. I ran around and read all of these to my heart’s delight.

After all the small aquatic creatures, we moved on to a walkway which was built into a massive aquarium. I saw giant sharks and fish up close. I saw every tooth, every gill and every scale. It was quite scary yet fascinating.

Afterwards, we went to the creepy crawlies section which was full of insects, amphibians and reptiles. I saw hairy tarantulas, pink mantises and giant cockroaches. There were small blue frogs, yellow newts, blue-tongued skinks, bearded dragons and even axolotls. I even saw a chameleon.

Needless to say, as nerdy as I was I read all the descriptions of these animals and I enjoyed learning interesting facts about them. I probably enjoyed this experience more than any other person inside the park. That day, nerdy self was more than fulfilled. My beaming smile never left my face even as we went back to our hotel.

The third highlight destination of our trip to the City of Dreams is Kowloon, the walled city. Bustling streets full of people and cars. The buildings were built so high it seemed as if they reached up to the skies. Colorful neon signs lit up my eyes.

There were rows upon rows of different shops filled with interesting goodies. Street vendors selling different exotic foods that we’ve never seen before. We even saw a vendor selling grasshoppers and cockroaches but we lacked the guts to try this delicacy.

Unsurprisingly, I was a picky eater when I was young so I was too stubborn to participate in their food trip but I did try some of the sweet desserts. I tried this pink sweet and stretchy hair-like noodles. Apparently it was called dragon’s beard. The name seemed appealing to a young kid like me so I had to try it. My parents also bought me some mochi ice cream and as a young kid with a sweet tooth, I ate it. It was chewy and it filled my mouth with the sweet taste of strawberries.

Our stomachs were full so we moved onto the other shops that showcased different gadgets and trinkets. I was full of questions and queries as a young child does.

At a very young age, I was able to be exposed to and experience a different culture in a foreign country. I was very lucky and to this day, I am still very grateful to have such a wonderful experience in Hong Kong, The City of Dreams. As I reminisce this splendid trip I realize that the saying “You can leave Hong Kong but it will never leave you” is exceedingly accurate.

Falling in Love with God's Little Paradise called “Bohol”

We used to go to Bohol with my grandparents every summer before the pandemic happened. Last April 2019 my grandparents and I went to Bohol for a vacation. I've gone to Bohol a few times, but I was always playing with my cousins at my aunt's house. I was unable to travel and visit the tourist spots. So when this trip finally happened, I was ecstatic; the entire experience had made me fall in love with Bohol.

It was past 10 in the morning when we departed Mindanao bound to Bohol. I was ecstatic; I was getting an adrenaline rush, and I couldn't feel my body's tiredness. I noticed some people waiting in the sea to be flung coins as soon as I stepped off the ship. I instantly requested a coin from my grandparents since I was pleased to see that they were delighted to be tossed a coin. After that, we took a bus to Corella, Bohol, to visit my grandparent’s place.

When we arrived my aunties and uncles immediately accommodated us. The next thing we do, we had some chit chats and ate dinner together. I then had a shower and went to sleep because I was tired and exhausted from the long travel.

One of my uncles invited us to his place in Panglao's Beach Resort the next day. Hearing that we were heading to the beach made me so thrilled that I instantly packed my stuff, including my favorite snacks. There was a rush of adrenaline when I took my first steps in Panglao. I was drawn in by its beauty; it is a breathtakingly beautiful and ethereally enchanting beach.

We opted to roam around until we could check into the resort. We took a stroll along the beach and marveled at the island's magnificence; the moment I saw the clean waters, white sand, and stunning horizon, I was captivated by Panglao.

Despite the fact that it was quite hot weather, I chose to take a swim on the beach, I didn't mind getting sunburned and I fully immerse myself in my first Panglao experience. I enjoy seeing the enormous waves crashing against the shore while enjoying the beautiful hues of nature. I enjoyed the sun, beach, and sea while watching people swim, take photos, sail, and stroll in the same way that I did. I got a peek of what Panglao Island is like for a short time, and I would definitely return to the island once I return to Bohol.

The next day, we planned a trip to Carmen where the Sagbayan Peak is located. The breathtaking panoramic view of chocolate hills astonished and enchanted me. As my cousin and I walked around the place, a kid's park caught my eye; it looked like a creepy abandoned dwarf village. Although it wasn’t my first time seeing tarsiers, I am still amazed as go near it, it looked cute and interesting, and it was so small I can hardly see it; I think he was shy because the little creature is hiding behind the small branches.

Furthermore, I enjoyed seeing the adorable butterflies at the Butterfly Dome, which was a new experience for me. This dome houses a variety of butterfly species as well as flowers on the inside. I tried my best to place my hand in an area with a lot of butterflies, but they wouldn't perch in my hands. My inner child was ecstatic to see so many statues of cartoon characters. My cousin and I spent some time at the playground, where we tried out the see-saw and a climbing structure that I can't remember the name of. It is indeed a wonderful spot to unwind and rest.

It appeared as if the surrounding scenery shifted from farmland to forests in a moment as if our car had driven through a gateway into another world. My aunt dragged me back to reality as we pulled over. We walked along the road beneath the cover of a rich mahogany forest with bent branches above us. I couldn't help but look up; their leaves had completely blotted up the sun.

I gawked in astonishment in their shade, fascinated by the vivid canopy above me and entirely forgetting that I was walking on a highway. It's difficult not to fantasize in this forest, which seems like it came straight out of a fantasy movie.

On our way home, we passed by several old churches that have been passed along through the generations. There are numerous tourist attractions that satisfy my eyes.

I went on vacation to Bohol four years ago, but the experiences I made there remain carved in my head and will never be forgotten. I will undoubtedly return. But the finest attribute of Bohol, in my opinion, is the people. Everyone was kind and accommodating. Unforgettable! Incomparable. Bohol has a distinct country vibe to it, and each experience will be remembered for a long time. For now, I’ll relish the memories of my trip.

Over the mountain, Across the sea. I'm halfway to Paradise at Mati.

My latest trip, and also the most unforgettable time with my family, was back in 2018 when we decided to visit our relatives in Mati, Davao Oriental. That trip had been simply amazing and spellbinding at the same time, and if I somehow get the opportunity to go back, I will. The scenery, moment, time, and everything touched distinct sensations in me which are just indescribable. That experience would always end up leaving me awestruck.

On our trip to Mati, we stopped at the Sleeping Dinosaur to snap photographs and enjoy the scenery. The "Sleeping Dinosaur" is an island shaped like a sleeping dinosaur surrounded by the sea. There are several decks along the road that provide the best view of the spectacular place.

It was only a short visit and we were just dropping by and taking photos but it was unbelievably an eye-catching place to take a short rest. I guess what impresses me the most is the stream of people parking sideways since the photo spot is right beside the cliff. I was pleased with a breathtaking panorama of nature, complete with a peninsula that resembled a sleeping dinosaur projecting into the exquisite sea.

My uncles took us to several places around the area, one of which was Pujada Island, one of the most gorgeous beaches I've ever visited. The sight of crystal clean water in this Paradise was breathtaking. This island has yet to be discovered. My family and I went together for a picnic. It's a wonderful long length of powdery white sand beach that wraps around the southern point. We then went to the lighthouse, which is at the top of a tiny hill that allowed us to enjoy the magnificent sea view.

We then went to Mindanao Saga Flying Club the next day. I didn't get to experience it since I have a fear of heights, however as I observed my family be doing it, I already felt sure that the thrill of flying in an open ultralight aircraft is enough to send adrenaline through my veins. As my brother said, flying within 15 minutes in the sky with a combination of a perfect view of Dahican beach was a great experience. Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to witness that vista.

Throughout the trip, I was simply meandering my eyes and being astonished by the mesmerizing beauty of the sceneries I've encountered. My eyes were filled with overflowing delight.

My attachment to Mati is unlike any other place I've been. I can't exactly define what is beautiful about a place, but the memory of it will stick within us vividly. "When you leave a beautiful place, you carry it with you wherever you go" stated Alexandra Stoddard, with whom I completely agree.

The first unforgettable travel I had is when I was 13, and we went to Quezon City. It is the month of December 2018; it was the best Christmas gift I ever had. I was with my family and aunties. I really love traveling, and I once dreamt of becoming a flight attendant. I enjoyed riding a bus, ship, and especially an airplane; it was also my first time riding it, and it feels euphoric.

I had the best first time going to Manila. First time riding a ship, exploring and seeing the beauty of my surroundings, first time experiencing pass by San Juanico Bridge, the eternal beauty of Mt. Mayon, it was breathaking place I couldn't take my eyes off from it and also I got the chance to see the mesmerizing beauty of Island in Sorsogon Bicol lastly first time seeing my brother. To cut the story short, my brother grew up in Manila with my aunt since he was still a kid, and we couldn't keep in touch with him. We never had the chance to see him, only my eldest brother and parents, so we decided to visit him and luckily we got the opportunity to spend Christmas eve with him in Quezon City and we went to Baclaran Church together with my family. It was him who made my travel unforgettable.

As I experienced those things, I realized that I should work hard for my future because I wanted to travel and see the beauty in every country. There are a lot of changes that I made while traveling, and one of these is to keep and cherish every memory that happens on me because it's a beautiful memory to look back on.

It was the summer of 2019 when me and my brother decided to go on a vacation. For me, it is not just a vacation but a mind winding and escape to the very stressful life I have here in San Francisco. We didn’t plan how long we will stay in Bukidnon, specifically in my uncle’s residence; in Bangahan, Pangantucan. It is a place we used to have a vacation years ago when we were still young. And finally that summer, we were able to visit there again.
It is our first time traveling together; with my brother. It’s quite challenging but we still succeeded and reached our destination safely. Actually, my brother and I were born in Bukidnon, only in 2017, we transferred here in Agusan. Going back, we received a warm welcome from my tito and tita and the eldest of our cousins there. The smiles that they have are priceless and for a very long time, I have this feeling that I am finally home. When I saw the church and the house and observing everything around, I really missed everything, both the place and the people. We stayed in our tito’s house for the whole vacation. And one thing that made me flutter when we reached the place is their language. I used to be an ilonggo and being able to listen and to talk like that again feels like a beautiful memory happened again. I was so happy.
Right after the day we came, our tito took us with him to Valencia City; one of the cities in Bukidnon. When we were young, our parents used to take us there every Sunday after church. As my brother and I loiter around the city, the excitement and happiness that we have that time is very rare. We haven’t really felt that kind of happiness for years. We were so happy and full of energy going around the city. We bought some things as remembrance and we were so amazed by their thrift stores. It's so cheap but has a high quality. We also bought some. I can say that we are not getting tired roaming around while reminiscing the memories in certain places in the city. We also observed a lot of changes but some remained just like the memories of our childhood were preserved there. We really had a good time that day and we’re dying to go back there again.
In Bangahan, our relatives have this farm where different varieties of fruits and vegetables can be found. It is a place where you can see and taste fruits that are rarely found nowadays. I am sure you will never get hungry if you stay on that farm. Going to the farm, we rode a carabao with what they call “karo” in the back. It’s my first time riding it and it took hours for us to reach the farm and the sun was very hot. But I noticed on my cousins that it’s normal for them. I can’t imagine having a life like that at such a young age. However, they are happy with what they have and content for the kind of life they are living. It really made me realize that it doesn’t matter if people label you as poor as long as you know to yourself that you are rich in love and happy with the people around you. Also, it is where I encountered people that are very on time. When they say that we’ll be meeting up at 5am, everyone is present before 5am. They are so punctual and it inspires me to be one of them also wherever I go.
In addition to my unforgettable vacation, I experienced harvesting pineapples there. Bukidnon is known for having a wide pineapple plantation and pineapples there were very cheap or should I say, it’s free. Yes, the pineapples there were free as long as you picked them yourself. My brother and I together with our friends harvested pineapples, put it in a sack and brought it home. My tita also makes pineapple jam, and it tastes so good. And after harvesting I always had these small cuts on my feet and hands. But I didn’t because as I can see my friends have more of these than mine and it seems like it’s nothing to them. They were so used to having wounds and cuts when working. And I admire them for that. That changed my perspective in terms of sacrificing for food and the needs of family. It’s a memorable experience that I want to do again.
Overall, Bukidnon indeed is my home. It is where I can feel the real happiness in living a very simple life. A place where I can be comfortable and takes my worries away. By it’s astounding and majestic views of the mountains, by the breezes of air since morning to night, by the relaxing waters that flows freely and freshly from mountains and of course by the genuine, happy and very kind people that makes Bukidnon a more lovable place. I want to live there and I believe that it is not just a place where I was born, It will be a place where I’ll grow and grow more.

My family had planned to go to Cagayan to celebrate Papa Jesus' birth. I couldn't kept my excitement when I heard it because it's something I've always wanted since I was in sixth grade. My Lola once told me that if you pray sincerely to the heart of Papa Jesus, he will grant your prayer, no matter what you will ask and it was one of the reason why i really want to go there.

I was quite excited to go there because it was my most recent trip since the pandemic started. We firstly went to mass that evening and prayed for our safety on our trip. Inside the car I couldn't stop thinking about where I should go first and what I should wear . I didn't get any sleep that night since I was so intrigued by what I saw outside. On that night, there were many stars in the sky, and the roads were tranquil and quiet. In the morning, we ate breakfast at claveria and took a break because it had been so exhausting sitting in the car for so long. Then, at exactly lunchtime, we arrived at our tito's house, where we were all very busy unpacking our stuffs while chit chatting with our relatives.

We didn't waste any time and we visited all of the tourist attractions in only two days. But claveria, seven seas and divine mercy was my favorite spots because i fell inlove at the moment i saw it. I was astounded by the climate in claveria since it reminded me of Baguio, where it was quite cold. I enjoyed all of the rides at Seven Seas, and it was also an amazing attraction. Lastly, Divine Mercy was my favorite among the above-mentioned. I couldn't put into words how I felt the moment I stepped inside. I can say it was a really unforgettable experience in there because it was the very first moment I cried in front of Papa Jesus, begging forgiveness and asking for guidance and a long life for my parents and loved ones.

Our 2 day trip was very exhausting, but it was also satisfying and unforgettable. I discovered that traveling with your loved ones and spending time together was a wonderful experience. I had a great time on our 2 day trip, and I promised myself that I will surely go back there once I was able to pay the expenses. For the time being, I'll just keep it in my mind and cherish it for the rest of my life because it was a fantastic experience and an unforgettable trip.

I was fourteen years old when my uncle decided to buy some ticket and take us to Baguio for a vacation. As a typical teenager I thought I couldn’t travel because I was just a student who kind of lacks in financial support. When I was a child, I always wanted to go to Baguio to wonder the places what my father is stating when he puts us to bed. We got the opportunity to go to Baguio when our uncle saw our academic certificate telling that we have all achieved a 90+ grade. Together with my cousins, we travelled without an adult behind us, from here to Davao airport to Metro manila and finally to Baguio.

As for our first place in the bucket list, we decided to go to Mines View Park first, we were surprised when we saw the view, the pine trees, giant mountains surrounded by fog and mist, and as usual the temperature is always cold. It is named Mines View since it overlooks the spectacular Baguio view of the Cordillera Mountains and Benguet’s gold and copper mines. After having lunch, we visited the mansion which serves as the official summer residence of the president. Those gates are enormous, it gives the luxurious vibes just like England’s palace. After taking pictures, we decided to go back to the hotel because the air is getting too cold for us, our jackets aren’t even helping to warm us up and our feet are starting to numb. During our travel, going back to the hotel one of my cousins saw a farm where they sell jams and fresh strawberries, so we stopped for a bit to look at it and also pick some, our eyes are like seeing stars when we first saw the strawberries, we even tasted it and it is so good that one of my cousin had a stomach ache because she ate a lot of it. When we finally arrived at the hotel, I decided to heat myself up by taking a hot shower but instead of feeling the hotness, my body began to numb because of the ice like water.

The next day, my parents called and they want me to buy some goods so we went to the public market, it is a bit crowded but we manage to explore and enjoy the place, we bought some jams and other stuffs. We also had lunch in that place, and they served as their famous food which is bulalo, perfect for cold temperature. After that, we managed take a stroll to the place where the man-made lake is located, since in our province lake ride is rare, we grabbed the opportunity to take a peaceful swan lake ride and it was awesome. Seeing other people also taking the ride was joyful, I can really see their smiles. The last place we visited before we decided to go home was the lion’s head, before we get to that place, we took first a ride in a taxi heading to Kennon road, it was so fun that it feels like we are riding in a roller coaster, the zigzag part of the road was superb. After that ride we managed to take some pictures and also we didn’t miss the opportunity to try some strawberry taho, it was delicious. Any first timer shouldn’t miss any of this, you can even take a stroll in Baguio without spending huge amount of money.

While heading home, I realized that even though we struggled in cold temperature in Baguio, it was fun and you cannot even forget about it even years, you’ll still remember what Baguio feels like for the first time. I promised myself that day that I will go back to that place and feel what I felt for the first time. Every time I think about that place, it always warms my heart and gives it the urge to go back again and again without getting tired of seeing the same picture.

After Christmas, my friends and I went on a trip to relieve stress at school, even though I was just procrastinating. Since I had money, I came along and brought 600 pesos for the reason that it might fit. We were all nervous, especially because it was the first time, except for me, who was nervous because I might get scolded when I got home. On our first descent and second ride to Baculin, the road opened up and you could just tell that "No one is going back as long as they wander." Add to that the winged motor we rode, aka "Habal-habal" and "Katig." It was fun, but it was tiring too, knowing that it's also a 1 hour ride there.

The tiredness and cramps in the legs also disappear because of the scenes we go through that can hold our breath, the ones you just want to hang out and never go home.

When we get to our classmate’s house, I can really feel how lucky they are living by the sea. But I just put that aside because of the advantages I experienced, especially signal that we have here, but the life that I want is there. As soon as we arrived we rested for a while. Since noon we arrived, of course we had to have lunch. The troops decided to have lunch at sea because the boat was leaving. We might not have boarded to Amazing. Actually it's not my first time riding a boat since I was already on a boat when I was in Grade 7. I'm not afraid of the boat capsizing because I know it has wings to keep the ride balanced. But with the thought of lightning and strong winds, the waves grew and I still couldn't swim. I still haven't said goodbye to my family. By the mercy of God even demons were with me, kidding aside we got safely to the cottage there and thankfully it wasn’t too rainy anymore. The air was also so cold there that it seemed like it was inside the freezer. The sea is really beautiful and I can see you and your soul when you go down into the water.

You can really say that "It's worth the trip to almost separate my soul from my body." When we went up to the cottage we prepared the food for lunch and took a shower and took many many pictures before eating. Because it was getting late we didn’t catch the sand that appeared and went home. Even though that's what happened that we enjoy the view and the chickas mixed with plastic JUST CHAR HAHAHAHAH What I like most of all is to walk at night next to the sea. I don’t know, it’s just delicious to feel that super relaxing. But I just really wanted to relax then because my family called me and I was a little angry haha.

After that night the next day we had to go home. I was nervous because it was raining and there was a chance we wouldn't get home early. Because I just wanted to roam, we didn't stop and my friends even used the man there to save the boat to Amazing Sand for the last time before going home. But that was our friend haha but rejected as a romantic connection.

After waking up they decided to go back to Amazing sand again and make the trip memorable since the trip to and from home was a few hours. Even though my brain didn't feel like swimming in the sea, I was still screaming loudly when we got on the hammock under the cottage and just saw the pogi. We also swam there for a few hours and because it was close to noon, we had to go home and go through a resort first because it was beautiful but unfortunately, my expectation was broken but it was also good that there was no sand, my expectation was that there was still sand. but it's nice to chill there it's expensive. It was our final hours because we were going home. Unexpectedly, another problem came. We could not ride out of Baculin because there was no driver to take us because the road was slippery no one dared to take us. I wanted to cry at that time because of the frustration I was feeling. Because we were lucky even to have a demon with me. Someone offered to increase the fare just so we could be delivered. And since we weren’t choosy, we agreed and just added.

Because my parents were strict, they didn't scold me too much, they just told me to say goodbye properly where to go and tell the truth so that they wouldn't lose their trust in us and so that they could still trust us. Yes, I learned my lesson and didn't promise anything but trying my best in everything to earn their trust again and made a good shot as well. In every decision that we make, we can literally get a lesson.

My friend which also happens to be my classmate, April, invites us to go in their famous Amazing White Sand in Baculin. We plan this trip long time ago but because of our responsibilities as a student we cannot continue this plan of ours and also our parents won't allow us.

But then Sheina, urges us to continue this plan in December 26, 2021 because it's after Christmas day and our parents might allow us to go and it's actually a perfect time to go on a trip because it's holiday. After celebrating Christmas with my family I ask permission to my parents to allow to me go on a trip with my friends and luckily they agreed but with a condition to always be safe and stay vigilant and to always call them and text them of my whereabouts. I was quite excited to go on our trip because it's my first time to travel by myself and it's my first travel since the pandemic so I couldn't sleep that night.

In December 26, 2021, me and my friends continue our plan to have a one-day trip to the famous Amazing sand in Baculin, Hinatuan ,Surigao del Sur. Me and my friends are so excited on our trip to Baculin because it's our first time to travel by ourselves and it's also our first time meeting up in person.

The trip to Baculin was so tiring because it's a 1hr long drive and what we are riding is a transportation that is used by the locals which known as 'katig'. Riding a 'katig' is tiring because the way you seated is uncomfortable it will make your legs and feet numb.

We arrived at april's house almost noon so we make ourselves feel at home and just lay in the bed for a minute to rest. And then me and my friends decided to eat lunch at the sea. We rode a boat to go there and as we arrive, we were amazed at the scenery of the sea, there's no word can describe the beauty of Amazing White Sand. We eat our lunch and then we go for a swim. The tiredness and numbness we felt because of the trip all vanished due to the amazing scenery and the sea breeze.

It's a long day for us but it was all worth it.

3 Days and 2 Nights,I fell in Love with Bohol

My family planned where ate Honey’s 18th birthday would be held. Grandpa suggested that it would be better to go to the province of Bohol because there are many beautiful places to visit. Everyone was excited because it was our first time going to Bohol and it was also our first time to board a ship. I was so excited 1 night before we left. I'm excited because it's my first time to go to a far away place. I look like a child who is very happy.

Economic ticket for all of us so our room was airconditioned. I feel the fun while aboard the ship. I was out of the room all the time and I took advantage of the ocean view. After more than 8 hours flight from Nasipit we arrived at the Port of Bohol the Port of Jagna. I was amazed because many large ships had boarded. When we came out, many people were selling latik in bagol. This is the food that is well known elsewhere, made from Bohol. While on the bus I noticed that almost the sea was around me and I also noticed that there were many big houses but they were dilapidated. It was because of the earthquake 7 years ago.

3:00 pm we arrived at Pangangan Island. This is our Grandma's house so we are here to stay temporarily. We never wasted our time. We went to a famous resort of Pangangan Islad the Cielo de Asul. We picked up sea orchins, edible sea shells and sea grapes. My uncle grilled the fish and my aunt made the sauce for the food we got from the sea.It was late and I was lying in bed. I thought about what happened to us here in Bohol in just one day. I was so happy that I witnessed the beautiful scenery here and tasted the foods that were new to me. I was amazed and I loved the place and I wanted to be here to live.

It's morning and this is everyone's long-awaited. We went to the Moadto Strip. I looked around the swimming pool and I also took a walk. This resort has a restaurant, hotel and swimming pool and was built in 2020. It's just new so it's very nice. It's one of the tourist spots here in the City of Tagbilaran. We also had breakfast here and rested for three hours. We went to Chocolate Hills. This is the place I am so excited to visit. I thought I could eat the mountains because of its name Chocolate Hills. The place and scenery are so beautiful. It seems like my heart was crushed with so much fun. I finally went to one of the most famous places in the whole Philippines. We took a picture and really made the most of our time. In the distance I saw the Tarsier as well. They are so small and the eyes are so big. I saw it for the first time so I wanted to touch it. We only had a limited time in Chocolate Hills and we went to Belleveo Resort here in Panglao.
Here, Honey's 18th birthday was celebrated. We danced, had fun, sang and others. We enjoyed it so much. I had so much fun and I made the most of crying in the sea.Its sand is very white and very fine.

It was morning and I felt sad because it was our last day here in Bohol. We went to Island City Mall of Tagbilaran the single largest mall in the province of Bohol. We bought souvenirs and things for ourselves. We went to the Bool Suvebier shop and bought I love Bohol Tshirts, keychains, bags, hats, latik and more. For friends and loved ones.

While on the ship, I immediately miss Bohol. I miss Bohol because I fell in love with Bohol.I missed the beauty of Bohol but I brought with me the beautiful things that happened there in Bohol. In 3 days and 2 nights in Bohol I was loved by it and I promised to myself that one day I will return to the place that captivated my heart.

At first we were in tents in meadows. Then we went up into the mountains. It was so beautiful. Finally we were on horse back.the trail was narrow. Orchids bloomed white and purple hanging on to trees. Bananas grew tiny and large hanging in bunches. They were all different kinds. The men who rented the horses to us came along walking beside us guiding the horses. They picked the bananas. They were laughing and talking the whole way. I had taken elementary Boholanoh. I understood a word or two. But my lessons amounted to my name is and I have a yellow pencil.

Us kids went up first with one of the uncles. Then the mamas and daddys came up. The boy who owned the horses made a wonderful supper for us. We were camped right by a river.

My cousin and I had bought hammocks at the market. We found good sized trees and set up next to each other. The horse owners camped close to us. My parents were close and so were the others. We could hear the river going by Rushing off to somewhere down the mountain.

In the night while we were still talking a little we heard the low growl of a big cat. The horse men talked to their horses reassuring them they were safe. My father and the uncle who spoke Boholano came out of their tents. My father had his pistol at the ready. They talked things over and the fathers went back in the tents.

What? I asked my cousin who was fluent in Boholano.

It's a panther. They say they will watch. The gun will just frighten the horses. The stars were bright but the trees blocked most of them. My hammock swung gently as I shook my bare foot.

Morning came. Us kids with the same supervising uncle rode all day up the mountain. We had our lunch along the river. Finally we reached a worn out church. It was ancient and there were graves and a stone wall about 2 feet tall went around the area. My cousin asked the men about it. It had been a church then the Boholano killed the priests until finally the church was abandoned. We wandered around looking at everything. Then rode down the mountain again.

We spent 4 days there. We just lived doing what chores the men with the horses didn't do.. We played with our young cousins. Walked the trails picked flowers and fruit. Ate and took siestas. On our last night the mamas and i cooked a feast to share with the men who had taken care of us on the mountain.

It is a trip I have remembered all my life and i will never forget for rest of my life.

When I was younger, I aspired to view clouds and fly through the sky, as well as travel around the world, but before I leave town, I want to explore my own nation first, as there are many amazing tourist attractions here.

The life there is not easy. The hassle is real and literally crowded with people. In the midst of a pandemic, we decided to stay at home and simply await alert level guidance so that we could go outside safely. But we can hang out outside because there are a lot of free activities in the condominium.

When IATF opens the guidelines to alert level 2, We've been to a lot of places like Tagaytay, Batangas, Bulacan, Antipolo, and whole cities in Metro Manila.

Back when November 28 2020 I was 15 years old that time my cousin from mama’s side planned to go to “Marihatag “the Home town of my God’s parents. I am so excited about that time we travel almost 4 hours since we take a bus. Were so happy when we arrive because I like the view in Marihatag since the house of my Godparents is near the sea. We walk around and appreciate the view, and after that, we go to the market to buy something. We didn’t notice the time that it was already 6 pm so we decided to go back to the house my God Mother. After that we eat dinner and since my cousin loves to sing so we decided to have karaoke.
November 29, 2020, it’s a Sunday so we decide to go to their church. I really like the design of the church it was so big and it is color white but the altar is color blue. There is the saying that if you go to another place and that’s the first time to go to church you can make a 1 wish then it will become true. So since that was the first time I make a wish and I pray to God that we can return home safe and I wish that I can forget stress even a little bit of time. After the mass, we go to the house and make a simple celebration since that time was my cousin’s birthday it was a lunch celebration and they got drunk except me because I am a good girl and alcohol is not good for me since I’m just sixteen years old.
November 30, 2020, it was Monday so we prepared food and anything because we decide to go to Lalona beachfront second celebration of my cousin’s birthday. We choose this beach because it is safe for the children since the wave is not too high. We’re happy and we got some pictures we sing and dance. I realize that I’m happy not because of the place but it is about the person you shared a moment. So after that celebration, we relax and we decide to go home since we have a lot of modules that need to be finished.
In the third picture that was in Carmen at Butuan I’m with my cousins again it’s a floating cottage. Its happened on November 13, 2021. I’m already 16 that time we don’t have an occasion to celebrate we just want to relax from stress. I really love the sea it makes me relax, the fresh air and the beautiful view. We’re lucky because we avail the last cottage. Were so happy and it is so an effective way to forget stress.
I really miss this moment hope it will happen again.

The Beauty of Baculin

I'm not new in Baculin, I've already known Baculin since I was born. Our family lived there for almost 33 years. In the past, there's little amount of population in there, but when the days goes on, the population in there went higher. The road in there is not really well, it is rough road. Ever since, Baculin is not well known place because it's the farthest barangay in hinatuan. But when the people in there discover the different beautiful places in Baculin, the Baculin became famous. There are many tourist spot in there, like Amazing Sand, Banaraw Island, Bayron's Beach, Fullo Seafront and Spring Resort, and many more.
Amazing sand is not that old, Baculinians (people in Baculin) just discover this place last 2020. Before you can go there, you first need to ride a pumpboat for 5 minutes. It's from Baculin proper to Amazing Sand. Amazing sand is located in the middle of the sea. There's a lot of cottages in there that you can rent. When I first went there, I felt so relax and the view in there is just so beautiful. The sea water in there is crystal clear that's why most people called it crystal clear water. I really like the water in there, especially when the sun is so bright, because the water became more crystal and it's just so beautiful to watch. I can say that many people love that place because of the beautiful view . The sea water in there became low and high. When it's low tide, it's the best time to go down and take a walk in the sand. I really love when it's low tide because you can see the beautiful sand. On the other hand, if it's high tide, it's the best time to swim and enjoy with your family. Every time I need to relax and I feel so stressed, I find ways to go to amazing sand because I feel that it's one of my best relaxation place. I felt that every time I go there, my stress and problems will go away and all I can feel is happiness. Amazing sand is one of my stress reliever.
When me and my friend plan to go to Bayron's Beach, I feel so excited. I first went there on my 16th birthday, and imagine, we are just 3 who went there. I'm so excited to go there on that time because it's my first time and I also saw the pictures of the people who already went there. I saw that it was so beautiful. From Baculin to Bayron's beach, we ride motorcycle. In the middle of our way, my friend is incapable to go up there if she has a back ride. So me and friend just walk because the road is also dangerous. It's very tiring because the road is uphill. When we arrived, all my tiredness was gone. The fresh air, the sound of the waves and the beautiful view, it's just worth it. I really enjoy that day, I feel so very happy on that day. It's one of the memorable travel that happened to my life.
My family plan to go to Banaraw Island because it's one of my cousin's child birthday. It's the second time I went there. We spend our night in there. I love that day because we are complete. Even though it's raining and the wind are strong on that night, it's still memorable for me. Banaraw is an Island, it's a small island. The cottages in there is in the entrance part. What I like about Banaraw, is that we can go to the top of it, where we can see the beautiful sea in the surrounding. We can see the pacific ocean in there. The view on top is so eye catching for me and that's the reason why it's my favorite part in Banaraw. We also took a walk on the side of the island. The view in there is instagramable. The water is there is also clear and clean.
All the tourist spots in Baculin are beautiful. I didn't say it because I live there but because, it's the truth. I'm so blessed that I live on such a beautiful place like Baculin.

“While they were rowing the gakit (bamboo raft), the slaves jumped into the water and forcefully pushed the gakit towards the waterfalls, consequently killing their masters, and ultimately attaining their freedom.” Funfact this action of the slaves were planned, or intended, hence, the name of the waterfalls. Freedom, Success, and Satisfaction are some words that can represent the Tinuy-an Falls. But for me it is mesmerizing, ethereal, and incredible.

One Morning in Tinuy-an Falls, I experienced a long drive towards a hidden paradise. A two hour drive from our place to an amazing falls that satisfied the long wait. The water that drapes and cascades through the three waterfalls features a curtain of white froth that makes Tinuy-an Falls worth the long trip.

One Morning in Tinuy-an Falls, I took a lot of pictures that I will treasure forever. Every corner is Instagram worthy, tall trees, attractive waterfalls, and the environment itself. For me it is really gorgeous because the whole area is teeming with lush vegetation and tall trees that makes the waterfalls more appealing.

One Morning in Tinuy-an Falls, I rode the famous gakit that everyones been talking about. Life jacket is a must when riding the gakit since the water is really deep. Nonetheless, the experience was surely magical, plus riding the gakit assisted by four staff who are really kind and will assist you all the way is comfortable for first timers like me and my family. The gakit ride would cost around 500 pesos depending on the number of the people that are riding the raft. They would bring you as close as possible to the waterfall and it is really scary but exciting and fun.

One Morning in Tinuy-an Falls made me the happiest I have ever been this year and I will always be thankful for that.

It was summer a perfect day to have a family vacation. My mom decided to visit in Camiguin which was my grandmother's hometown. We're actually dont do travel and it was our first family vacation last 2014. It was amazing while we are on the way to Camiguin I saw a dolphin and I can see that my eyes sparkling at amusement. Though they say dolphins only seem to come out once. Finally, we arrived at 3 in the afternoon and it was exhausting so we decided to take a rest at my tita's house.

A cozy morning when we decided to take a walk to a white beact resort that nurserying a giant clams. The resort was welcoming and peaceful. I run towards the tank where the giant clams are placed. It was my first time seeing a clam that is actually big and I was about to tap it but my mom told me that we should not disturb the clams. They have a educational tour of giant clams but I was not paying attention of it. I was busy memerizing at the collection of giant clams and corals.

After that, we go to the shore. The water is clear that I actually want for a swim. I can say that it was a perfect place to unwind because you can see the place was not crowded. I play a lot together with my cousins, we build sand castle though I don't know how. Then, we have a joy ride at the area where you can feel that your too close at the nature. The other day we decided to go home. It was our 4 days vacation in Camiguin and I'm grateful for a new memorable memories at the lovely and refreshing place.

At the second photo, My dad's younger sister was getting married. A lovely newlyweds. The reception was held at PJRB inland resort and Hotel at Monkayo, Compostella Valley. The place was neatly clean especially the pool area. They have statue of superman, wonder woman, captain america and other hero's that attract the vibes of their resort especially for the kids. The rooms are simple but comfortable. I enjoy a lot in the pool when my tito and tita's go for play. We do taya-tayaan in the pool, it was exhausting but very funny. It makes our bond grow stronger. The place was filled with laugher and silliness. It was not crowded that's why we can do whatever we want. They able do pose at the slides. Creating such a valuable memories together with them was actually great. A memory for keeps that the resort witness it.

The third photo, it was my favorite place. Every christmas we used to go there with my cousins, my dad side. Where the lights can make you feel relax and happy with the surroundings. We used to celebrate our christmas in Monkayo in which my father's parents live. In plaza, we used to have picnic there. The place was crowded but it was nice and comfortable, it has different lights and cozy music for chilling. You can feel the christmas when you have your cousins in your side. We walk and apreciating the view while having conversation, taking pictures in every lights we cross, eating streetfoods and have jokes together. I can say all of this was my memorable scenery of travel with my love ones.

Unexpected Davao Summer Vacation Trip

I have never traveled places since as a child I wasn’t fortunate enough to travel as my parents worked to keep roofs over our heads. It was a DREAM of mine since I was very young to go to different places. However, m,y mother's family or my mother's side was living in Davao City, and then the last time I visited them was when I was a child. And I to go back there and I never thought that my tita's would be visiting us and they were able to decide that they want me to spend my summer vacation to them. I never expected to be able to travel again there since it was far to travel.

As we spent our time there my cousin decided to go to Samal City were a place that is considered the country's largest resort city or island, in Davao with its powdery beaches and numerous beach resorts. The beach has very fresh air, clear water, and a refreshing surrounding that you can calm yourself and your mind. I, my tita's and cousins were enjoying and having fun together. We also explore the different small places there, we eat and buy some things also.

The next day since we have had much time to travel to different places there we try to visit our lolo and lola ( my mother's tita and tito) in Mati Davao Oriental. It takes also a lot of time to go there since it is very far from Davao City. After we travel for 8 hours we reached their house and it was also quite in their place since it is a farm or in Bisaya it is called "bukid". I also enjoy the moment of getting different kinds of fruits and going to what we called in Bisaya "gulayan". Even though there was no Internet connection we still really have fun and a very memorable experience, indeed.

The most emotional part of the trip was when I was leaving back to Agusan but it was the great experience that I ever had in my life. I met a lot of friends that treat me like a true family. That is what happiness feels like. At that moment, anything in the world felt possible. That trip gave me the travel bug and showed me the true meaning of wanderlust and happiness.

Reyselle Kem N. Agdon Grade 11- Gandhi

The first time I saw Britannia beach resort was when I was a little kid but I could not remember every detail since I was very young. Time passed by, my family and as long as the Lastimosa Family and other relatives decided to go on the Britannia beach resort located in Surigao del Sur. We went there to celebrate a birthday party from the other family and stayed for one nights and one day. My relatives have a lot of enjoyable experiences that happened at that specific place. As I heard about the venue for the celebration I felt really happy and very excited since it is my second time going to a wonderful place.

It takes hours to arrive from our current location to the resort. We used three big vans to make sure all of the family can members can travel and arrive at our destination. While traveling, we talked about what our lives went through in the past and shared what we have been through. We passed some of the stunning resorts in Surigao del Sur and some wonderful views that I can imagine right now. But in the middle of the road, we got unlucky our tires were flat not just one but two of them. My uncle immediately repaired them but it takes half an hour to fix them. While my uncle was repairing, my cousins and I took a picture of the view of nature and its beauty. After the tires were repaired we quickly hopped and started smoothly. Hours have passed and we arrived at our destination without any hindrances. Then we take an early dinner and take a chill swim in blue salty water. After that, we took a shower and were ready to take a sleep since we were too exhausted.

The following day, we woke up early, ate breakfast, and then set out on an island-hopping adventure. Taking the stable but fast boat was an exhilarating experience for this first-time boater. I was looking around the entire time because I was so excited, and I was especially interested in the islands that were on the water. At the same time, I was very anxious because when I looked down the water was very dark and deep. When we reached the first Island, it was called “naked island” since it is a pure white single island with no trees and others. It was very fantastic it is like a cold and chill wind that is embracing you at the same it was a white sand island with a crystal clear blue sea. While we were diving and swimming there are beautiful ladies who arrived on the Island. I believed they were wonderful models because they were taking poses and pictures. The second one was very similar to the first one but it has some green weeds and a bunch of trees. It also provides some different rides that you may enjoy. The third one was a big one, it really has a nice view since there are coconut trees everywhere. There are also a bunch of vendors selling some delicious kinds of seafood.

When we successfully hopped all over the island we carefully go back to our place. While we were going we ate some delicious lunch. As we arrived, we took a small time to swim and that is the time when I learned how to swim. After that, we take another lunch on fast food, immediately took a shower, and got ready to go back home. I am completely exhausted by the middle of the afternoon, and at the same time, I am extremely sad because that day is our very last day at the resort. Just before returning to our hometown, we went out and bought some t-shirts as well as some tasty snacks to munch on while driving back home. After that, I realized how beautiful Britannia Islands are, and I fell head over heels in love with the island's natural splendor. Every time I saw a post about that island, I was flashed back to all of the happy and memorable times I had spent there with my family and relatives.

Drix Nicolas P. Concepcion

       My JOURNEYlism in TuguegaWOW

When I entered a plane for the first time, I was terrified. As the airplane lifted off, I felt a wave of dread wash over me. I closed my eyes and took advantage of the moment. I hear these statements as soon as I put my foot on the ground in the airport. Clark International Airport is happy to have you here. I'm relieved that we made it to our destination without difficulty. We proceeded to the NCC mall in Pampanga to get breakfast after picking up my luggage. Then my journey to national begins.

We booked a bus ticket to Tuguegarao, Cagayan Valley, at the bus terminal. We were finally ready to board the bus after a two-hour delay. In the next seat, an American passenger approached me and inquired if there was a seat available near me. I replied, "It is for Nathalia," and he found an empty seat in the back. I was shy because I couldn't answer him directly because of his English language and American accent.

While on the bus, I fell asleep and woke up in Kuya Restor's arms. I had a vivid dream that we had won at NSPC. I couldn't help but smile the entire time. The Buntin Bridge Tuguegarao was seen from the bus we were riding on. We're supposed to be representing journalism, but I felt like we were on vacation the whole time.

We arrived at the Tuguegarao bus stop at precisely 1:23 p.m. Manong driver escorted us to Tuguegarao's elementary school. Agusan del Sur was our answer when the teacher asked us where we came from. She handed us the keys and led us to our room, where we were greeted with a warm welcome. I grab a few pillows and sleep for the night to be fresh for the day.

Kuya Restor got me an NSPC 2019 t-shirt and an umbrella for the upcoming Caraga and Region 5 delegations at school. I took a bath on March 9th, 2020, and now I'm ready for the NSPC to open. It was an eye-catching procession with a diverse bunch of intelligent individuals. We're driven by a strong desire to win.

Our contest date arrived, and we prepared. I was training, and I was amazed by their school, which is ST. Paul. The speaker for today's contest arrived. Our topic would be Sulong Edu-Kalidad. We are done with the competition, and we did our best.

The next day is going to be a blast. The St. Peter Metropolitan Cathedral was a highlight of our trip. A large number of individuals are praying with God. I spotted some of my co-journ snapping photographs and walking outside the chapel. I witnessed Baroque buildings from the 18th century and several stunning statues.

In the evening, I made my way to SM Tuguegarao to stock up on writing supplies. After purchasing a milk tea, I went window shopping. Until I saw my friends, it was a lot of fun. I jog back to our quarter and regain my breath.

Sir Dhun woke me up, saying, "We're heading to Calao cave.' I put on my nice clothes after a few seconds. First impression: Wow, that was incredible. The calm, clear waters of the ocean are reminiscent of a clear night sky. There's a lot of green around. The air is enticingly clean and scented. It was time to explore another island, so we boarded a boat. Homo luzonensis, the oldest known human species, is discovered at the mountain's peak after 184 steps.

As soon as I entered the cave, I felt like I couldn't breathe again, and there was water above us. Everywhere you look, you'll find bats. Upon seeing the bats flying in front of us, Ate Abegail was astonished. We took a group photo, and I placed some stones as a memento mori. After a few hours, we decided to leave the amazement cave.

The awarding took place. We didn't win; however, our memories will be cherished forever. As I say goodbye to Tuguegarao, I can say that it is a bucket list for anyone who wants to experience modern in traditional times.

Golden Scenery of Cagayan De Oro

GRADE-11 GANDHI (HUMMS)

"Golden Scenery of Cagayan De Oro"

It was about September 24, 2018, when my aunt suddenly suggested that we travel on a 5-day trip to Cagayan de Oro, where my uncle would meet up with his police classmates/comrades for a 2-day reunion in a luxurious hotel, as they had not seen each other in a long time. It took us 7-8 hours to arrive at a mall, and we parked at the front because my grandmother and her friend planned to meet at the front of the mall to tour us around Cagayan De Oro. They had already planned our 5-day itinerary, and our first stop was the Divine Mercy Shrine in El Salvador, Misamis Oriental, Philippines. The main point of Divine Mercy Hills, a parcel of land overlooking Macajalar Bay on Mindanao's southern island, is a 50-foot monument of Jesus as the Divine Mercy. Our second itinerary is Coconut Bay Beach, after which they booked us a 3 star-hotel in Galaxy Hotel, which was a wonderful choice because it has a lovely location and is close to street foods, Xavier universities, restaurants, shopping malls, and Divisoria's. We also pay a visit to my grandmother's friend's house on the right side of the field; we travel for over two hours and a half simply to get to their farm house. The Paradise of Seven Seas Waterpark and Resort is our third destination. It is the world's largest pirate-themed waterpark, with over 12 thrilling slides, a dual wave pool, and a 400-meter lazy river. There service is excellent and truly great, and it is the best adventurous and entertaining place. Our final destination is the Dahilayan Forest Park, a wonderful tourist destination with a variety of entertaining activities for all ages and families. It's at Barangay Dahilayan, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, and the trip took us an hour and a half. Dahilayan Forest Park is located at 4,700 feet above sea level, at the foot of Mount Kitanglad. You will not be disappointed if you visit because, in addition to the stunning vistas, the rides and amenities are great and entertaining, and the service is also excellent and the staff is kind .It's all worth it for the fresh air, stunning surroundings, and breathtaking views. That day in my life is one of my favorites, and I'm in a great mood. It was one of the most unforgettable trips I've ever taken.

Traveling is a fantastic method to learn new things in life. Every year, a large number of individuals go to various locations all around the world. Furthermore, it is critical to travel to humans. Some people travel to learn more, while others travel to escape their daily lives. Whatever the cause, traveling allows us to discover the world beyond our imagination and enjoy in a variety of activities.

When my lola was invited by her daughter to come to their place, I typically liked to be there because I enjoy to travel and ride buses and see the scenery.
We head to Jollibee for some food before we reach at my aunt's place because it's a three-hour drive.

I enjoy going there because many of my cousins have similar personalities to mine. We watch movies on Netflix, eat wonderful food, go to the beach, and primarily ride bikes and play badminton. Also, taking pictures and posting them on social media. My lola was able to avoid returning home because my aunt does not want to return home, but my lola does. We returned home and discussed what we had done there. They ask us to visit them on every occasion.

To summarize, I haven't traveled much, but what little I have done, I've used to examine everything in sight. I've gone on multiple hiking vacations, some just for hiking and some for more, but each time was the best. I adore exploring, traveling, and learning about different cultures. Every one of these items piques my attention, and I hope to use them to my future job someday. Despite the fact that I am only in eighth grade, I am already thinking about my future, which is only around the corner. I'm ready to figure out what I want to be as long as it involves these three things.

Unexpected travel, in my opinion, is the most memorable. During my travels through this lovely paradise. I've had a lot of problems, but with the support of my family and friends, we just ignore them and enjoy every moment we have during such times. My friends and cousins are accompanying me on my journey to Samal Island. We were both thrilled and fatigued at the moment because we had driven 6 hours to reach the most beautiful beach on the Island of Samal. We met a number of strangers who eventually became our new friends. We had a great time eating their excellent dishes there. It's all worth it, despite our exhaustion.

My second location, Baculin Island, is my saddest beach vacation because my father was unable to join us. During that time, I kept thinking of him, but I remembered what he said to me about being cheerful and capturing beautiful moments whenever I explore new areas. I had a good time there with my other relatives, going on beach rides and jet skiing. It's pleasant, but you'll quickly become sunburned.

My trip to Sibadan is the most unforgettable since everyone around me was happy at the time. We relished every minute, and I can still recall the laughter and delight we shared at the time. I understood that every lovely moment in our lives should be remembered because it will never happen again. That's how my beach vacation came to be.

Everyone have their own unforgettable moment, including me. I have many unforgettable trips, one of it is the moment i went to my grandfather's place with my whole family. This trip occurred about three years ago during the summer vacation. We stayed there for a couple of weeks and it is not actually quite far from our current location but i enjoyed watching the seaside views we encountered. When we arrived there, they greeted us with an open arm that's why i'm so comfortable doing a lot of things there and talking to them.

Bislig City is a charming city where my grandfather's birthplace, it is known for its eco tourism and its main tourist attraction is the Tinuy-an Falls, known as the little "Niagara Falls" of the Philippines. The first week experience there was so overwhelming because i met my cousins and i realized that my grandfather's side have a broad family. We made a lot of time for each other, such as doing videoke and walking in the park at night with my cousins. Actually, my father did not allowed me to go outside specially at night but then my cousins persuade him and my mother so happily their persuasion was succeeding and i really appreciate them for doing that just to take me for a walk. Then on our second week, we visited a lot of falls and beaches, i'm actually a type of person who really loves the sea that's why i personally ask my lolo if we can go to beaches and luckily he said yes. One of it was the so called Tinuy-an Falls(a three tier cascading waterfall). For me, the crystal clear and cold water together with the beauty of our mother nature all around was so relaxing and if you're finding a place which you can feel at ease i really recommend this place.

There is actually a long story why Bislig City became my favorite vacation place. But to make a long story short, it's because i met there the man i never thought would be my boy best friend and luckily until now our friendship remain stronger. Our place did not became a hindrance for the both us. We virtually communicate up to now together with my cousins there. I really do appreciate them, they're a big reason why i keep going there every vacation. Hopefully this year I can go back there so I can see them. I can't wait to see the smile on their faces and to see the beautiful tourist spots also. The people whom i treasure and the beautiful spots there is the reason why i want to go back and make another overwhelming memories.

My parents and my relatives starting to plan our vacation, in Kaputian Samal Island, and we thought we should do something that be fun and would be amazing experience. We went to Kaputian Samal Island on November 17, 2018, with my whole family and all my relatives to celebrate my grandmother and grandfather's Anniversary. I was amaze and surprised when we arrive at the Kaputian beach resort, the bangka ride was so relaxing, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the resorts you can see pearl farm from a far, and other resort. Lot's of hut's undercover.

Samal Island is the cleanest beautiful and amazing Island I ever saw and experience in my whole life. The color of the water will make you believe that clean sea still does exist. Kaputian Samal Island is one of the most visited beach in Samal, because of it's white fine and clear blue waters, we can also experience sunset and sunrise.

Visiting in Samal was the best part of my life yet because it was the only place that is far from my hometown and we made so much memories in there. There was no internet connection and that was good because I had a chance to chichat with my family that I can't do at home because of the busy schedule. The best part in Samal are walking in the seaside, feeling the fresh air and having a peaceful mind like you can't think of your problems because you are attracted to the view that you are seeing. The food in there was so delicious and it was my first time to taste that food, I can't remember the name but the taste still stuck in my mind until now. When the anniversary of my grandmotther and Grandpa came, we eat in front of the sea, it feels like heaven because I am with my family and it was fun because they prepare a games for us and it was so exciting because of the prizes of the winner so I play hard but sadly I only had 1 games that I win but it's okay at least I win. In my vacation there I realize that having a time with your family will make you feel contented and happy. No other things can compare to a family and they can't even replaced. Also in there I enjoyed a lot because I tried new things that I hadn't experience before so yeah I hope soon I can go back there and eat those food that I can't remember the name and taste it for a hundred times hehe and also to relax my mind because this past few days I feel frustrated with no reason and I am pressuring my self with school works so I hope I can go there soon.

We went on a field trip to Davao Oriental Park when I was in kindergarten. I didn't get much sleep the night before the fieldtrip because I was so excited to finally see some of the animals and enjoy the park's beautiful views. We climbed the long flight of stairs. We were exhausted from climbing the long stairwell before arriving at the park. We arrived at the park, I think, after about ten minutes. My classmates were so happy that they decided to jump, and I did as well. I can tell they are extremely happy. We eat some food before going on a park tour. The food was delicious, as were the desserts, particularly the ice cream.

We finally go on a tour after we've filled our bellies. We first visit the crocodile park, and then we see a variety of animals, including snakes of various types. I was terrified as I watched my classmates hold the snakes. There are many different colors and types of butterflies it gave me goosebumps. There are also fishes, birds, ostriches, and monkeys. We see the pambansang ibon known as the PHILIPPINE EAGLE, as well as a variety of crocodiles ranging in size from small to large. The smallest are on the other pond, and the largest are also on the other pond.

It was a lot of fun seeing all of the animals in the park and listening to their sounds, especially the birds. The trees and flowers were so lovely that there were even a few butterflies flying around. I'll never forget that day because it was the happiest day of my life as a child. While having a good time exploring, kids like me will learn valuable skills and gain invaluable knowledge. A trip to the zoo or park encourages a healthy lifestyle while also bringing family and friends together. It is an excellent day trip destination in any season. We travel not to escape life, but to prevent life from escaping us.

ANGELICA CUAJAO FLORES
GRADE XI-GANDHI (HUMMS)

Way go back year 2016, when my family has decided to have a short summer vacation and it was a perfect for us to relax and spend time together. It was my first travel/our first travel together because, were not just like others whose likely travelling. I was so happy that day that finally I can go to the place that I want so, 1 night before our trip I am very excited to pack up all things that we need. We went to Green Bay Resort, I think it took 3 or 4hours before we arrived there, but all of our stress/tiredness was gone when we saw the beautiful sunset view of the beach.

We went there to have some fun and enjoy. Also it was a time for me to feel the calm and peace of the beach. A place that I want and enjoy is going to the beach. It is seen as a place of relaxation because it is normally quiet and peaceful there. To look around you and see the beauty of mother nature at it's finest. The majority of people you ask will say that it is one of their favorite vacation destinations. Not only for the beauty and relaxation but for the sheer entertainment. That is the three reasons I enjoy it as much as I do.
I go to the beach to get away from all my troubles that are bothering me. To feel the grainy sand all under your toes. To sit there under the sun feeling the warmth of it beating down on your skin. To know that if you get too hot that you only have to walk about ten feet down until you get into the brisk cool ocean, and feel instant relief from the blistering sun. Also to lay on a float in the ocean and just feel the ocean as you are a part of it. Not only to feel but to hear the waves is the ultimate relaxation.
The beach is not only known as a place to relax ,but as a place of beauty. Many of times you see artist portraying the beach with their paintings, or by singing about its magnificence and its splendor. No matter how descriptive nor how detailed the picture is though it can never capture the beauty that the beach really holds. Not only above but under the water also. The ocean is filled with many colorful and astonishing marine life.
Some people also go to the beach as a recreational area also. The volleyball nets strung tight as a harp. The hammocks swaying loosely in the nice ocean breeze. The drinks flowing and abundant like Niagra Falls. People always find something fun to do at the beach. It may be playing water sports in the ocean, playing volleyball or frisbee on the shore, or just plain relaxing and being lazy by laying in a hammock with a drink in your hand. My preference is the being relaxed and just soaking up the environment around me. Its so amazing to watch the sunset and feel the waves of the sea.

My family enjoyed that day, all stress and pain they feel was remove. We feel that day was happiness and joy because, were complete and we saw the beautiful sunset view of the beach. We take pictures that day, we chat, we sing, dance and many more. But the most important of all we spend time together kahit sa kunting oras man lang.

In Green Bay Resort, you will enjoy all you can stay there if you want, they have a nice and relaxing view and many more that I know you can enjoy. I hope very soon we can go back there, kahit dito lang ayos na basta magkakasama, buo at masaya.

"Travel is the best way to be lost and found at the same time".

My family had made plans to go to the beach to celebrate his birthday. I made the decision to invite my pals, and they gladly accepted. When we arrive at the beach, the sight and sound of the beach being blown by the waves gives me a shiver and makes me happy. The sound of breaking waves has made me feel better. All my unpleasant feelings and stressful days gone while I was still there. That time, everyone was singing and dancing and having a blast. My buddies and I decided to go on a walk along the beach, where we snapped some photos and played in the sand at random.

Nature's beauty is a gift from God for which we should be grateful. We should teach ourselves how to defend and increase awareness of what is going on in our environment in order to maintain this kind of beauty. We live in a technologically advanced world. We should value such aesthetic creatures that are irreplaceable. We are quite fortunate to be given such opportunities.

Kent Namron A. Abao Grade 11 Gandhi

“HOLINESS, HAPPINESS AND PEACE”
📍CEBU CITY, CEBU PHILIPPINES TEMPLE.

Way back in 2018, were the pandemic and COVID-19 haven't started yet, everyone has a freedom to travel. Our church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) had an announce that there is a "youth temple trip" in Cebu, we do this twice a year, because as a youth in our church we will be the one who perform the sacred ordinances which He commanded in the House of the Lord. Of course we're so grateful at the same time we are so bless and happy because we have the opportunity to experience the happiest and memorable moment in our life.

The day before we travel I was so excited I can't even sleep because of the joy ang excitement that i felt (lol). At night I was busy packing my things that I need. We went to Cebu. We spent almost a day before we arrive. You will really lose your tiredness when you arrive and see the holiness House of the Lord. I can feel the happiness, joy and peace when I entered the Holy Temple. The surroundings of the temple, the flowers, trees, and even the grass, it makes me feel warmth and calm. The peacefulness that i wanted to feel for so long, finally i can felt it and the people there were so kind and adorable. Besides of the temple, we can see the church and the patron house, were people who go to the temple will stay there for a while.

And our purpose of going there is to help our ancestors who passed away, to return in the presence of the Lord. By doing the sacred ordinances called baptism for the dead, we can bless and help them and also we will be bless. The Cebu City, Cebu Philippines Temple, is one of my favorite place that I've been to. And I hope someday I can go back there, not only me but also with my family.

Ragga Ragga A Secret Paradise

📍Panaraga, Barobo, Surigao del Sur

Love at first sight, that’s how I’ll describe my first impression of the place. Ragga Ragga Leisure Park and Beach Resort is an exclusive and private beach resort located at the very end of Panaraga Beach in Barobo SDS.

Ragga Ragga, has pristine waters that makes you want to dive directly into. Pearly white sand that has small shrimp and crabs jumping and crawling unto it. And a very cute cottage that is very accommodating.

The resort doesn’t only give you a breathtaking view of their property but also a privacy that you didn’t know you needed. It’s like you own the place, for when we arrived there we were the only people in the resort: Me, my family and the caretaker which made us feel really comfortable because we can do what we want without disturbing other costumers.

Traveling from our home to Panaraga was such a joyride it was like a roller coaster ride. There were plenty of ups and downs. The road going there was also under construction, which made our vehicles have a hard time. But all those obstacles were worth it when we saw how magnificent the place is.

A secret paradise is what I call it for Ragga Ragga is located at the very end of Panaraga Beach. You’ll need to book for reservations before going there. You will have to overcome a very challenging road but as they say “You won’t recognize true paradise without going trough hardships.” But at the end you can say that those experiences were worth it. Because you get to see a scenery you'll never forget.

The Chilling Warmth of Dear Baguio

I woke up to my friend's excited squeal. I had terrible neck pain from sleeping without any travel pillow or shoulder to lean on, yet that pain quickly went away when I realized we'd arrived at Baguio. We stopped at Teacher's camp, and despite it being 4 am, we hurriedly stepped out of the van to enjoy the cold, coincidentally we see manong from afar selling taho, but not just any taho — strawberry taho! Though I disliked the strawberry taho, it was still nice to have tasted something we usually could not have. We then visited an open store to buy scarves for we had underestimated the cold. We went back inside the van to drive to a cheap hotel we booked.

The hotel was small and it wasn't the best; after all a bunch of students and teachers could not afford to stay in a lavish hotel for 7 days. After I settled my stuff, I instantly fell asleep. After a 6 hour nap, I woke up all alone in the room and just sat there. I reminded myself that we weren't here to just have fun, we were here for a research competition. While energizing myself, Adrian barged into my room to tell me we were gonna visit Burnham Park. The park was beautiful, plus we got to ride horses!

The following days were preparation for the contest but little did we know, we were gonna go on a 2-day tour. We visited multiple places, such as the botanical garden, Burnham park (again), the spooky diplomat hotel, and many more. However, three tourist spots stood out to me.

The Mines View Park was breathtaking. Seeing the whole place from above made me feel like I was on top of the world. To see the Earth in its crystal-white gown, with its outstretched green hand hugging the city brought a feeling I wish I could experience once again.

The strawberry farm wasn't memorable because of its landscape — it was because we secretly ate strawberries while placing the ones we were gonna pay for in a basket they provided us. We weren't there long, but the laughter continued even after we left the farm.

The Valley of Colors didn't leave much of an impact on my teammates, and to be fair, it was just a bunch of colored houses cramped together on a hillside. However, something about the houses and their ability to maintain their vibrant hue despite the sun being dim was fascinating. I just stood there wondering if it would look a lot prettier if the sun was more cooperative. After all the fun, we had to attend the competition. My team placed 6th — not the rank we wanted, but the memories we made will stay in 1st place for years to come.

Last year ,me and my friends was planning to go in Britania Island and I was looking for it because I really need to rest and have some fun. Recently, this plan was accomplished and I was very astonished of the scenery in there. Britania has a white sand and a clear beach. It was so amazing in there especially at night. I can say that it was one of the most unforgettable memories in my life because I had a great time spending some time together with my friends. At night we sat in sand and we talked about our lives and it hit me so hard when one my friend shared about his financial problem and he started crying.

A Missing Piece of Me: Alexandra Kate Daryl Gonzales 11-Gandhi

My family and I went to the beach for the first time in a long time last year. As soon as we arrived at the beach home, I was ready to go into the water. The weather was perfect, and instead of a harsh sun, there were some gentle clouds to soften the rays. I knew the beach cottages were full because the renter told us, but the quantity of automobiles at the location might also tell you. The beach sand is very soothing to the feet but only few people is with me wandering around and letting the smell of the sea soothes to my nose also, which I thought was odd because the water was great for relaxing while watching the waves break against the shore. When a delightful ray jumped out of the sea, I was about to jump in but then rest of my afternoon was about to change dramatically.

Regardless of the situation, I just waited for an hour and used that time to inform my brother about the stingray I witnessed jumping. She warned me not to get into the water because those animals may be hazardous if they were handled improperly. When my sister went inside the house, I decided to go swimming with my father, whom I had not informed about the stingray I had seen. The water appeared to drag me back in, but as I moved my legs out of the water, the splashing water blinded me to the point where I nearly fell. My father followed me out of the water. However, when I arrived at the residence, there was only my sister and me in the room. "Why are you that way?" she inquired. Did the curious stingray pay you a visit? "Frightened by her brilliant assumption, I responded with a chuckle, "Oh sure, I spotted a couple of them, but that's why we got out." To my surprise, she said, "What did I tell you before getting in!" Plus, dad and you might get wounded." In that moment, I realized that I should always listen to the counsel people give me, and that, despite her youth, my sister had a solid foundation to support her.

In top of all that. My escapade was very very great as ive enjoyed our family trip despite of the current situation. i am very thankful to this Natural Beauty of Our Nature being my Natural stress reliever also. The breeze of the air that refreshes my skin, the wave of the water tha comforts my soul and the brightest shine of the sun that lightens and motivates my day. Being at my most motivated self is being at the beach also haha i think it is really my comfort zone as it makes me feel "home", it let out the other side of me that mostly people dont see.
