Fair Trade, carbon footprint, being global citizen keeping your identity, topics of the 21st century. Everybody has an issue , an opinion, a concept, each and every unique and extremely global about the topic. To travel or not to travel? To consume others' or to produce your own? To buy to help or keep away of overshopping to protect? Questions with open ending, tasks to carry out, ideas to think about. The answer might be the ability of thinking critically which can be taught to the global student to take decisions on his/her own. This could be the mission of us as teachers, agents of the change.

Today I learned about global citizenship "Think globally, act locally". It is important to find balance in everything. Experience is very important in teaching. International learning is when we learn about other cultures.

Today’s activity has confirmed to me that questions should always be asked and doubting is not a “bad” thing. You have to be very careful about what you do and what you think, because what you are convinced about being might not be good in all respects and not for everyone. We try to keep the balance, because our decisions and actions can affect destinies and lives.

What was confirmed to me today was that if you want a change , then be the change yourself. As teachers we have to make our children be aware of the desire to make a difference.

Today we talk about globalization and the importance it can have in our society. Think globally, act locally! This was the phrase that most affected me emotionally, because realizing that small actions can lead to big action globally. It is important to realize that we all responsible for everything that happens in the world. One of our most important mission as teachers, is to make students aware of the world around. To start with we can take small steps in our local environment. Globalization is an irreversible process, you have to accept this fact. It is spreading fast all over the world. We cannot stop it but we can choose if to be active or passive global Citizens! Because that will be question: To be or not to be!
